Irene's POV

After Alistair yelled that a new table appeared at the far right and a banner above it appeared. It was purple with a silver dragon in the middle, with the motto of the house appearing around it saying "Nosce te Ipsum." which meant, 'know thyself' in Latin.

The hall was silent. No one knew what to do or how to react. Irene got up and went to go and sit at the new table that appeared. But Dumblewhore- sorry Dumbledore stopped her before she could.

"I'm sorry my dear girl, but you can't sit there, as that house doesn't exist."

Irene just looked at him with an 'innocent' look on her face, "But the house table is there, along with the banner, and the hat sorted me there. And wasn't the hat created by the founders? Maybe the house just didn't have enough people with the characteristics for it anymore so it disappeared."

The sparkle in his eyes flickered for a moment as they filled with anger but quickly reappeared before anyone could see, but Irene caught the look in his eyes before he could put on his mask again.

"Well, that certainly is a good theory. Only you are in the house, and one person can have an entire house to themselves. And it doesn't have a head of house to watch over it."

"Well Headmaster, I'm certainly not the last student to be sorted, and as for the head of house if you were to look to your sides, you would see an entire table full of candidates for the head of house." Dumbledore went to go speak but Irene cut him off, "Or I bet we could always ask the hat. As he is the one who sorted me there."

Irene could feel the stares of everyone on her but she did nothing to stop them. She simply enjoyed seeing the look of annoyance and anger on his face. Though no one else could see it at the moment.

And once again he went to go speak but got cut off, but this time by Alistair, "Albus you cannot say that Pendragon isn't a house as it is, and you know this because it was here when you went to school. But I would like to resort some students that should of went to Pendragon but couldn't as it was not brought back yet."

Everyone's gaze left Irene's and looked at Dumbledore for an explanation for what Alistair had just said. Dumble just discretely glared at the hat while ignoring the stares from both the students and teachers.

"Well, it had disappeared so I assumed that it had no longer existed. Which is why I said what I said. But like I said there is no head of house, so who is supposed to deal you your punishments?"

Irene only tilted her head, with a tiny smirk on her face. "Well, like I said Headmaster if you were to look to your sides, you would see an entire table full of candidates for the head of house so that is not really a plausible excuse."

Dumbledores eyes darkened in anger as his plans were being foiled before they sparked as if he had an amazing idea. "I realize that my dear girl but they all have their own duties as teachers and it would not be fair for them to have this position forced on them."

"Well, Professor McGonagall is not only a teacher but the head of house for Gryffindor and the Headmistress for the school. So that's also not really a plausible excuse either," Irene turned to look at the table of teachers before asking, "Would any of you be able to be the head of house for Pendragon? I'm sure some of you would like something new to do, as I know a lot of you have had your positions for years and would like something a bit more interesting."

This infuriated Dumbledore so he went to speak against it but was, yet again, cut off before he could do anything, "I would be fine doing." Everyone glazes turned to the teacher's table where Auraua Sinstra the Astronomy professor stood. "I think it would be quite interesting."
