Chapter 25

It was the day of Sirius Black's trial. Irene convinced the king and her sister to go to the trial since she wanted to see her godfather. But since Irene Williams isn't supposed to know Sirius Black personally, so she went in a cloak charmed by goblins so no one could identify her.

It was 9:30 when they arrived, the trial started at 10:00 but they wanted to get there early to get decent seats in the audience section in the Wizengamot since they thought many people would show up as it was Sirius Black's trial, the supposed mass murder that helped kill the Potters.

At 10:00 Irene, Sarah, and the king were in the audience section in Wizengamot waiting for the session to start. Slowly everyone started coming talking among themselves about what and for whom this session is. Minister Fudge, Madame Bones along with Dumbledore came in.

"Madam Bones who is going to question Black?" Fudge asked her.

"I'm going to question Black myself Minister Fudge." She replied and he nodded his head.

"Please bring Sirius Orion Black the third forth," Madam Bones announced.

The courtroom door got opened and Sirius was being led into the room. He was thin with shadows around his eyes which seemed lifeless, he was too thin for his own good. Meanwhile, Arctus and Orion Black were ready to kill someone along with Melania, Irma, and Cassiopeia Black who were ready to cry even though their faces were blank, their eyes betrayed them.

"We are here for Trail of Sirius Orion Black for the charges of killing a wizard Peter Pettigrew along with 13 muggles. Also for revealing the location of James Potter and his wife Lily Potter nee Evans to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. How do you plead?" Madame Bones questioned.

"Not guilty," As soon as he finished the word, not, the courtroom turned into chaos.

Madam Bones spoke over the ruckus, "Very well give him Vertiserum." He was given a dose of Vertiserum and his eye glazed over.

"What is your name?"

"Sirius Orion Black the third."

"What Hogwarts house were you in?"

"Gryffindor."

"Are you the secret keeper for the Potters?"

"No, I was never the secret keeper. I thought it was too obvious that I would be the secret keeper so we made Peter Pettigrew the secret keeper." The entire hall was silent for a split second before they started to yell and scream about what was just revealed, all the while Irene was grinning at all of the reactions.

"QUIET!" The audience finally settled down enough for Madam Bones to continue the trial, "What happened on the night the Potter family was murdered?"

"That day when I went to Godric's Hallows everything was destroyed, James body was downstairs and Lily's body was in front of Holly's crib and Holly was crying, I took her in my arms so that I can take her with me because she was supposed to go into my care if anything happened to James and Lily. But suddenly, Hagrid was there stating that Dumbledore told him to bring Holly to him to keep her safe and on impulse, I ran back towards Peter. Then he started talking to me then started screaming trying to get the muggle's attention, before blasting a gas cylinder while shouting about how I'm a murderer and traitor. He then turned into a rat and ran away into a sewer nearby."

"Turned into a rat? How?"

"James, Peter, and I were illegal animagius. His animagius is a rat." 

"I Amelia Bones head of DMLE hereby declare Sirius Black innocent and to compensate his living in Azkaban ministry give 10,000 galleons. I also hereby order Aurors to find Peter Pettigrew for execution on sight. The court is finished."

Slowly, everyone left the chamber until only the Black family, Dumbledore, and the trio, who were hidden in the shadows.

"Sirius, my boy, I'm sorry I never knew that you were not the secret keeper." He said in his grandfather's persona with twinkle eyes.

Sirius just scowled, "First off it's Lord Black to you, not Sirius or 'my boy'. Second off where is my goddaughter?"

Dumbledore hesitated for a moment but went to answer anyway before he was cut off but Arctus Black. 

"Sirius...She's missing, no one knows where she is."

Hearing this set a fire ablaze in his eyes, "what do you mean she's...missing" 

"My boy I-"

"YOU HAD ONE JOB DUMBLEDORE! TO KEEP HER SAFE AND YOU FAILED! HOW COULD YOU FAIL SOMETHING SO SIMPLE!" 

Dumbledore went to go speak but was once again interrupted but this time by Jareth who stepped out of the shadows, "Well, I wouldn't say she's missing."

The group turned to where they had just heard a voice appear out of nowhere. 

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" Dumbledore asked firmly, though anyone in the room at the time could tell that he was furious.

Jareth just looked at him with no care in the world, "Who I am is of no importance to you, and I was here to watch the trial and inform Lord Black here of some important information," He turned towards Sirius, "So if you will come with me I have something to show you."

Sirius only looked back towards his family, "Only if my family can come with,"

Jareth merely looked behind towards the shadows on the walls, "Up to you little rose,"

The only indication of an answer was one of the shadows moving slightly. Jareth turned back to the family, "I guess that answers it then," He turns back once more and motions for the shadows to come forward before turns back to the family holding out his gloved hands for the family to grab hold of. 

Right as they were about you leave in the corner of the smaller shadow's eyes, she saw Dumbledore moving to grab onto one of the family members to come with. The shadow only pushes out her hand, forcing Dumbledore to go flying into the wall across the hall before placing her hand back not the king's shoulder.

And before Dumbledore could even blink, they had all disappeared.

Sorry about not updating, I kinda forgot that I never uploaded this chapter. A lot of shit has been happening in my life recently but I'll try to make sure that I upload the chapters sooner :)
