Green Tea

You look outside the Cafe's window as the snow falls, making a white blanket for the Earth's crust. You're sitting at a table for two, staring at the snow sky. You placed your earbud into the entrance of your ear, playing soft and slow music.

You cross your legs as you held the warm cup of green tea in your hands. As your lips touch the hot and steamy beverage, you took a small sip, regretting everything.

"Aw sh*t, " You cursed underneath your breath. As you flinched from the temperature of your drink, you spilled the green tea onto your white turtle neck. "Come on! I just bought this!"

As you grab your napkins, you knock over your drink, spilling onto your dark blue jeans. You wanted to scream, but there were too many people. You took a deep breath and exhale, calming down your nerves. The waitress saw that you had an accident and quickly walked towards you.

"Oh goodness, darling. Are you alright?" The lady said, putting her hand on your shoulder for comfort. "Oh, yes ma'am. Sorry for interrupting your time."

"Oh dear, you're alright. The costumers in that line over there are kinda grumpy right now." She said, giving you a light chuckle. You laughed with her as she went over to the counter to give you some more napkins.

"Thank you so much, ma'am."

"Anytime, darling. Would you like another drink?"

"Oh yes, that would be lovely actually," You said, giving her a warm smile.

"What was the drink again? Green Tea?"

"With a hint of lemon, please."

She smiled, leaving you with your damped clothes. You sigh as you lean back into the chair. You heard a chime through your earbud as you look down to see the notification on your phone.

"Oh sh*t, " You grab your coat and your belongings as you quickly walked yourself to the counter. "Um, excuse me, ma'am?"

The waitress turned around to look at you. "Yes, darling?"

"May I have the drink in a to-go cup, please?" You said with a shaky voice.

"Of course darling, it'll be out in a few."

You crossed your arms, biting the top of your thumbnail. You paced back and forth in the cafe, the click of your heels starting to annoy everyone. You heard the waitress call your name as you immediately ran towards the cup.

"Thank you so much, ma'am. You're a lifesaver."

"No problem, dear. Stay out of trouble!"

"You t-"

Suddenly, you bumped into a hard-rock chest, almost slipping your drink.

"I'm so sorry, mister! I didn't mean t-"

"No, no. I'm sorry, are you alright?" The soothing voice announced, grabbing your biceps softly as he checks your face.

"U-uh, yeah, I'm fine..." You said, blushing a little. I don't even stutter, what the f*ck?

"Again, ma'am, I am truly sorry."
