The Next Day

It's was the next day.
Maya told her mom she was spending the night before at Zoë's, but she really spent the night with Miles.
He promised Maya that he would go to school with her the next day.

Miles pokes her to walk her up.
"Mayaaaa. Maya, wake up."

"Huh? Wha?"
She replied.

"It's time for school."
He says as he smiles at her.

"Ohh"
Maya giggles.

They arrive to school together.
Miles gets out of the car first and sees Tristan staring at him, but Miles didn't pay any attention to him. He goes to open the door for Maya. Tristan was pissed for seeing Maya getting out of the car.

"Thank you."
said Maya.

"No problem."
Miles smiles.

Maya looks over and sees Tristan staring at her, then looks at Miles.

"Is it just me or does Tristan look like he wants to kill me."
Maya laughs.

Miles looks over.

"Nah, he's annoying. Walk you to class?"
Miles asked.

Maya grabs his hand and smiles.
"Yeah, I would like that."

Miles looks down and his heart stops he was surprised that she held his hand.

"Okay, I'll see you later. See you at lunch?
Miles asks

"Yeah."
Maya smiles.

Miles walks away winking.
