Never Stopped Loving You

It was lunch.
Miles told Maya to wait by his locker.

"Maya? Mayaaa.."
said Miles

Maya was zoned out.
"Huh."

"You okay."
he asked.

"Uh.. Yes and no."
she replies.

"What is it?"

Maya takes his hand and takes him in a corner.

"I need to know something."
said Maya.

"Okay?"

"How did you and Tristan "break up" and don't lie."

Miles sighs
"Okay."
Miles takes a deep breath.
"I never stopped loving you. Tristan was just a distraction, he didn't mean anything. Then one day he caught me staring at you, so yeah."

Maya lit up like a Christmas tree.

"Please say something."
says Miles.

"I never stopped loving you too."

Miles smiled big.

"But why didn't you tell me?"
Maya asks

"I was scared that you wouldn't have taken me back."

Maya didn't know what to say so she just kissed him like it was her last.
Then Mr.Simpson interrupted.

"Miles."
Mr.Simpson said

"Yeah?"
Miles replied

"This letter is for you, make sure your mom gets it."

"Okay."
Miles knew what it was.

"Is that..?"
Maya asked

"Court date..."

"When?"

"Next Monday."

Miles sat down on the bench. Maya followed him and sat next to him.

"All I wanted was to get him out of the house, I didn't want to go through court. I mean, nothing's going to happen. He has to much power."
said Miles.

Maya held his hand and looked at him.
"Look, those judges are idiots if they don't charge him for hurting you. You need better, no, you deserve better and I'll be there the whole time.
says Maya

Miles presses his lips on to Mayas.
"Thank you."
