Chapter 9

CHYNNA'S POV

Nandito ako ngayon sa tapat ng isang apartment kung saan nakatira si Glaiza.

Kailangan ko kasi siyang makausap ng personal ang not just through phone regarding doon sa current dilemma that we're facing.

Sana naman tanggapin niya muli ang offer.

Nagdoorbell ako ng ilang ulit pero mukhang walang tao.

Sayang naman.

Paalis na sana ako ng paglingon ko ay biglang nasa harapan ko na si Glaiza.

Muntik na akong atakihin sa puso dahil sa pagkagulat.

"My God! Nakakagulat ka naman Glaiza. Kanina ka pa ba dyan?"

"Kararating ko lang...Bakit ka nandito Ms. Chynna?" Tanong niya.

"Chynna na lang. Wag nang Ms. Chynna...Uhm may pag-uusapan sana tayo. Free ka ba?"

Tumango siya bilang tugon at inimbitahan ako sa loob.

Pagpasok ko pa lamang ay pansin ko na agad na wala masyadong laman ang bahay niya.

May dalawang small couch lang sa living room and there are two other doors leading somewhere. My guess is one leads to the kitchen and the other one might be her room.

"Have a seat Ms- I mean Chynna. Pasensya ka na sa bahay ko and sorry rin I can't offer you anything at this moment." Sabi niya at naupo rin sa kabilang couch opposite of mine.

"It's ok Glaiza. No biggie. Ako naman ang may kailangan sayo eh" Sabi ko.

To be honest, I had a good feeling about Glaiza but she's still quite a mystery to which I can't decide if it's good or bad.

"You want me to be Rhian's bodyguard again" She said.

"Wow. Mind reader ka ba?"

"Only if I want to" She said and smirked.

And I was stunned. It's hard to read her.

"Is that serious?" I ask and she suddenly laugh.

I don't know but that made me feel relieved.

"It's a lucky guess Chynna. So you're really offering that job again to me?"

Glaiza could be quite intimidating as well. Kahit siguro katarayan ni Katrina hindi uubra sa kanya.

Kung isa siyang Hathor para siyang isang dugong bughaw. That kinda vibe.

Pero tao siya...

"Yes. We're actually desperate. You see, by tomorrow darating ang mga kamag-anak namin galing sa ibang bansa. Once na nalaman nilang hinayaan namin si Rhian na maggala without a bodyguard we're doomed." Paliwanag ko.

"Pero I though may bago na siyang bodyguard."

"Sino? Si Liam? No he's not Rhian's bodyguard. He volunteered but as of this moment he can't commit to that. He's injured due to some inciddent earlier."

"Rhian fired me. Papayag kaya siya?" Tanong niya.

I think she's going to take the offer. Masyado lang siyang maraming tanong.

"Rhian doesn't have a choice anymore actually. It's either she'll take you or be held for ethernal grounding"

"Isn't she too old be grounded?" - Glaiza.

"Trust me...It's a complex matter. So, will you accept the job again?"

"One more question. Is this another trial?"
