"Damien, I can explain" Diana tried to reason.
"Don't bother, I don't need this shit" he roared, storming out of the room. Diana and I jumped, running after him.
"Damien, Damien......wait". Diana was screaming, trying to make him wait. "Let me explain!!!" she screamed.
Damien wasn't even fazed, he continued to walk away, he entered his room, and Diana and I immediately ran after him.
He was taking off his black tank top, as he reached for a muscle shirt in his closet. He turned away from us to put it on. I watched as his back contracted as he put on the shirt. For the first time, I noticed his tattoos, there wasn't that much, but there was enough. I'd never paid attention to them before, because I wasn't that attracted to ink, I'd never been really into it. However, it looked insanely good on Damien. I stared at the intricate designs in back colour on his back, wrapping around his body like vines on a wall. I immediately felt guilty for ogling him, especially at this kind of moment.
Diana was still trying to talk to him, screaming at the top of her lungs for him to calm down. Damien ignored all her attempts, walking past us and grabbing his keys before he walked out of the room, and straight to the front door.
I looked at Diana, she seemed to have given up on calling him back. "Dia, what are you doing? Why are you just standing there? We have to talk to him." I shouted. She looked at me and sighed.
"Listen, Maddy. You don't know Damien like I do. He won't listen until he calms down. We have to wait for him". Diana said, sighing and tapping my shoulder. No, I had to talk to him now.
"Screw that". I shouted, as I removed her palm from my shoulder and raced after Damien. I could hear Diana calling my name, I ignored her.
Damien was just about to start his car when I got to the driveway, I ran with all my strength, jumping into the passenger seat just before he took off.
"Are you crazy? Get out of my car!!" He roared. I was scared, but I held my ground. I had to make him understand.
"No. Damien, you have to calm down" I said, he had to understand. He was so angry, I didn't know what he would do.
"Last chance, get out". He said, his hand on the start button. The manic tone in his voice terrified me, but I wasn't going to give up and leave him, not again.
"No". I said boldly.
"Fine then". He said, finally starting the ignition, a sick smirk on his face. "Let's go for a fucking joyride". He finished.
He sped out of the compound and immediately sprung onto the road. I screamed loudly, the speed of the car was completely insane. I felt like my skin would rip off of my body.
However, Damien was smirking, a completely manic look on his face as he drove the car. He was seriously scaring me.
"Damien, Damien, please slow down!!" I screeched, he was driving manically, his anger fueling the force he used to push his leg on the acceleration. I closed my eyes as we almost ran into an oncoming car, screaming in my mind. Damien seemed to be an expert at rough driving though, because he easily avoided a collision.
"Don't fucking start, Maddy. I gave you the chance to get out and you said no". He screamed as he continued to drive like a crazy person. My heart felt like it was about to throw a backflip out of my chest. I had to get him to slow down.
"Why are you so mad anyway? It was my right to know about everything. Don't you think you at least owed me that much". We were both screaming now, our anger pushing the volume of our voices to its highest.
"Don't you fucking dare, Maddy. I owe you fucking nothing, you're the one who disappeared. Now, you come back and try to act all innocent, please. You knew what you were doing". Nothing but pure venom was coating his words. That fuelled my anger even more.
"You know why I left, Damien. I've told you a hundred times that it wasn't my fault". Anyone who saw us now could testify that we were being extremely obstreperous. However, neither of us cared.
"Yeah, I get that your father's a Bastard, I get that he forces you to do some shit, but you don't get that you're a fucking coward, Maddy. How hard is it to stand up to him, can't you just hold your ground and fucking say no to him". His words were getting severely annoying now. Why was he talking like he didn't know the situation. You don't say no to my father.
"Because you don't 'fucking' say no to my father, Damien". I put air quotes around the 'fucking' so he could see that I was imitating him and the word was not of my own choice. "You've seen what he does!!!". I screamed at him.
"Well, how hard is it to just get the fuck away from him. He's a bastard anyway". His sailor mouth was making me uncomfortable. I didn't like cussing, which was ironic considering I dated Monty who was the biggest sailor mouth I knew.
"Well, you try leaving a man who locks you up at the slightest request of even going to see your friends. Besides, you have no idea how much I missed and thought about you when I left". I covered my mouth quickly, shocked that I'd revealed the last sentence. Damien seemed shocked as well. A smirk suddenly covered his lips as he finally calmed down from all the anger.
"You should've tried to call". He said gently, obviously keen on not losing the argument.
"I didn't even have a cell phone and the landline required my dad's password before I could even use it...........I was trapped, Damien". My voice had gotten softer and all my anger had dissipated.
"Well, I missed you too" Damien said, a dirty smirk still playing on his lips. The sick pervert.
