A sudden shiver ran down my spine unknowingly.

"W-what is it?" I ask, trying to look normal and trying to pretend that my heart is beating at a normal pace.

He sighs.

"Why is it bothering me soo much, Lily?" He looks at me.

I keep quiet, looking at him with concerned eyes as he continues to speak further.

"You......you said you forgot about my birthday and not that I cared about anyone forgetting my birthday, but I don't know why it has been in my head since the morning."

"I.......it was actually-"

"Lily, I don't know what's happening to me. I-I feel as if I'm falling for you.....it feels as if I'm in love with you. But again, I'm not sure about what I'm feeling."

Now I froze completely on my spot.

Not moving an inch of my body, I stare at him with wide eyes.

He looks at me with confusion plastered on his face.

"I......I don't know what to say....." I somehow manage to speak.

The next second, it was silence.

Pin drop silence surrounded us.

Only our throbbing heartbeats are audible to us.

The tension between us, the atmosphere around us bothered me as I tried to recollect the process of breathing.

Suddenly beads of sweat started forming on my forehead as it was becoming difficult for me to breathe.

What's happening to me?

"Nevermind.....I'll figure it out. Just......forget what I said hmm?" He said again looking up at the sky.

Without speaking anything further he stood up and gestured me to stand up as well.

"Come on, let's go now. It's getting late." He didn't spare me a glance and started walking towards our hostel.

Somehow it hurt me when he said to forget whatever he said......

Ignoring my thoughts, I stood up and started walking besides him.

My mind empty now.

Should I have told him about what I feel too?
