I laid on the couch texting Nova. We had been talking about conspiracies all night while Wolf played video games on the other end of the couch. My parents hadn't contacted me all day, so I figured they must not care where I was, anyway.
Nova: I'm not saying it's impossible! I guess if there were ghosts they would have taken over the world already? What's the point of lurking in the shadows when you have superpowers?
Good point.
"Hey Wolf?" I asked.
"Yup?"
"Why do ghosts lurk in the shadows if they have superpowers?"
"They're smarter than us and don't look like us." I got goosebumps at how fast he replied. "And they're not ghosts."
I put my phone down and looked at the Tv as he played video games. They're not ghosts? Interesting. I picked my phone back up, remembering Nova.
