Episode 2: Memories of a distant father

Irene and her daughter Ruby had gone for an early morning walk

Young Ruby: "mama, why's daddy never home anymore..?" 

Irene: "your fathers just been busy leading our pack sweetie, he'll come home soon..i promise" 

Young Ruby: "that's what you said last time.." 

 Irene: "I promise you, this time your father will be true to his word and come home...I'll make sure of it." 

  so, later in the day, Irene went out to find her husband. Dragging his ass home so he could explain to his daughter why he'd been gone so long without much word. She ended up throwing him through the door, landing him right in front of Ruby of whom was on a pile of blankets 

 Theo: "hi sweetie.." 

 Young Ruby: "daddy! Where have you been?!" 

she hugged him tightly, shedding some tears 

 Irene: "tell her Theo. No point in lying to her any longer." 

  there was anger in her mother's voice, it was clear she was holding back her omega. 

Young Ruby: "what is she talking about daddy..?" 

 Theo: "daddy...daddy is gonna go away for a long time hunny, I've made a huge mistake...and i only wanted to protect you.." 

he was hesitant to tell his cub anything further, but proceeded to anyways. Hugging his daughter tight 

 Theo: "just, don't hate me forever...ok sweetie..?"

Young Ruby: "please don't leave dad..! I've only just gotten you back!! You can't leave me again..!!"

Ruby clung to him, showing no sign of letting go anytime soon. 

 Irene: "he has to go away for a bit hunny. Your father is going to go see a special doctor who will help daddy get better. He'll come back soon" 

 Young Ruby: "but i don't want him to go!! I haven't seen him in so long mama!! Please don't make him go!!"

Theo: "she isn't making me..i chose this myself hunny, i promise when I'm better, I'll come back and spend time with you and your mom...ok?" 

 Young Ruby: "ok daddy...please get better soon.." 

Theo packed all his things, with the help of Ruby, who would occasionally take things out of his suitcase and put them away, making the process longer. After he'd gotten everything securely packed away, he loaded everything into a truck and left to his 'doctor' far away. Never to be seen again.
