~Ruby had been missing for a few months now without notifying anyone, Kai was the first to notice her disappearance, he tried to look all over the house and in the treehouse that she had grew up in with dad...he couldn't find her anywhere near the house so he told DJ and she helped him look in farther places...but she's still nowhere to be found, the two decided to go back home and think of other places she might've gone or if she'd come back at all...~
Kai: laying on Ruby's bed crying
DJ: laying behind him, rubbing his back "it's ok Kai...I'm sure she'll come back...she'd never leave us without saying goodbye.."
Kai: "Aunty...I don't think mommy's coming back for us this time.." he'd wipe his tears, and roll over to hug her
DJ: she didn't know what to do, so she just hugged him back and tried her best to hold back her tears as he slowly fell asleep in her arms "she'll be back...I know she will.." she then slowly drifted off to sleep
Kai woke up the next morning, looking over at his aunt who was still asleep. He decided he'd go for a run, get some fresh air and take a break from his protective aunt for a while.
Kai came across a field of roses and poppies, he wanted to admire the field more so he climbed a tree, once he got to the top he noticed something in the distance, it looked to be a person. He jumped out of the tree and ran to it, once he got closer...he realized what or rather, who it was...Kai sat down, sobbing as he stared at his dead mother....lying in the field..
