Remus guides me into his home, his hand sweating so much in mine it was more than obvious he was nervous for me to see. I was rather excited. I was seeing his home and spending the holidays with him.

We walk into the small yet lovely home and my lips part upon seeing everything. We had entered through his living room. A brown leather couch sat against the wall on the left side. A telly against the wall across from the couch. A nice dark brown coffee table. Bookshelves that were filled to the brim that led to one of two doors alongside the back of the room.

I walk in further, not letting go of his hand as I do so. A little space stood between the telly and the arch that led into the kitchen. The whole house had wood boards. The kitchen was equipped with a big white fridge, countering against the wall and cupboards below and above them. Then in the corner of that small room, was a cute dining table that fit four.

Moving out of the kitchen, I look over my shoulder at him and his nervous expression.

"Which is which?" I ask quietly, pointing to the two doors. Remus says nothing but nods to the door closest to the books. I quickly look over them as we pass. There was a lot of books up there written by a lot of authors I had never heard of before. Strange how different regular people literature is from wizarding literature.

Opening the door, I see his room. A fairly large bed was in the back wall of the room with a window on each side. Brown, almost black nightstands. A large dresser to my left against the wall. And more bookshelves. We walk out and I close the door behind me.

"Bathroom I hope?" I question, pointing to the remaining door. He lets out a breathy chuckle whilst nodding. I smile at him. "Noted, for later," I mutter, looking around the walls to see no personal pictures up. Just some art that you couldn't really make out what it even was. It didn't move either. Remus told me wizarding pictures move. Strange. Remus seemed to be growing even more anxious, probably by my silence, which caused him to finally speak.

"It's not much, but it's home. For now, anyway," Remus spoke sadly. I frown, turning around to face him. I see the look in his eye and I grab his other hand.

"I think the home is very lovely. And very you," I assure with a grin. He looks up at me, a small smile building on his face.

"Yeah?" He asks quietly. I nod, leaning up and pecking his lips.

"Yeah."

Remus sighs, possibly in relief as he moves us to the couch. He pushes us back and we flop onto the furniture. I giggle lightly, moving around to rest my arm and head against his chest. He hums before grabbing my leg and throwing it around my waist before he softly brushes his thumb across my knee.

As we relax in the comforting silence, I realize how... unfestive his house appeared to be. My brows immediately furrowed. I turn my neck and strain my neck trying to look in his eyes. I jump a little when I see him already looking at me with a content look on his face. His cheeks blush heavily and quickly looks away.

"Why didn't you decorate for the holidays?" I ask seriously. His own brows furrow as he looks back over at me, his cheeks still slightly pink.

"You know why, dear," he says quietly. My face falls. Of course.

Remus had told me everything after we had dated for a fairly long time. He told me about him being a wizard, which I didn't believe at first. Until he showed me, of course. I guess I was what they call a muggle? He told me of his days at his school and his friends. And what happened to them. He told me of his parents passing. Then he told me he was a werewolf. It explained a lot but I was constantly worried about him. He didn't want me anywhere near him during those times, but I was always around to help patch him up.
