After Serena wins the master class and ash wins the Kalos league, they both stay in Kalos for their duties. Will a romance blossom between the two? Read to find out! (All characters depicted are over 18 except for Bonnie)
"I'm stuffed." I say, full, with my hand on my stomach. "That was a wonderful meal!" Clemont said to serena. "It was super yummy!" Bonnie exclaimed. All the pokemon grunted in agreement. "Thanks you guys, it really means a lo-"
BOOM
She was interrupted by an explosion. "A smoke bomb! Everyone get down!" I shouted. Everyone did as I commanded. "Pikachu! Use thunderbolt!" Pikachu did as I said, but the smoke made it hard to see, so he missed. As the smoke started to fade, there was a familiar voice.
"Calm down twerp. We're not here to harm you." The smoke was completely gone at this point. "Team rocket?!" We all said in surprise. "She's right you know." James told us. "If you aren't going to hurt us, what's with the smoke bomb?" Clemont argued. "Ah well, old habits die hard I guess." Meowth shrugged. "We heard you're the champion now, and we would never mess with a champion, so consider this a truce." Jessie held her hand out.
"Alright, why not?" I shook her hand. Meowth did the same to pikachu. "So now that you aren't hunting us down, what will you do now?" Serena asked. "Well, we tried stealing other people's pokemon, but it wasn't the same." Jessie said, disappointed. "So, we've decided to become your number one fan!" James interjected. "We even made a cheer!" Meowth said enthusiastically. "Ash! Ash! He's our champ! The opponent looks like a lamp!" Meowth and James cheered in unison. "It's a work in progress..." Jessie said, facepalming.
Clemont pulled me aside. "They might seem friendly, but we should still be careful. They've tried to steal your pikachu ever since you were in kanto!" He whispered. "I guess you're right. I'll keep my eye on them."
James pov
BUZZ BUZZ
My communicator is going off. It must be the boss. I pull Jessie aside "it's the boss!" I whisper. "What could he possibly want?" Jessie whispered back. "I guess we'll find out" I said, answering the call. "Jessie, James. I've received word that the boy with the pikachu has become the champion. I hope you have backed off from stealing his pikachu. We don't want a champion on our hands, now do we?" He said in a sinister voice. "As a matter of fact, we-" James was cut off by Giovanni. "Is that him behind you? You fools! Get out of there now!"
Ash POV
Clemont looks up to see Jessie and James talking to Giovanni. "I told you they're evil! They aren't even hiding it!" He said to me. "You're right. We gotta do something about this!" I say. I turn around to face team rocket.
James pov
"You know what? We quit team rocket!" I shouted so everyone would hear us. Jessie turned to face me. "Are you sure?" I nodded at her and said "Honestly, I don't want to be evil anymore. What's the point of stealing pokemon if the twerp isn't around?"
"I suppose it is nice having some familiarity. Besides, we've been doing this for far too long. Let's go for it!" Jessie said, already thinking of a simpler life. She turned to Giovanni and said "Have fun running team rocket without your star team!" Giovanni was confused and said "Wait, you're not my star team. My star team is-" Meowth interrupted by saying "Hey boss! Why don'tcha shove it?" And hung up.
3rd person
"Oooh! That was so exhilarating!" James said excitedly. "I know, right? What should we do first as ex team rocket members?" Jessie asked.
"Well, if you ask me..." serena started while getting up. "I think it's time for a new wardrobe!" She looked at Jessie and James with a gleam in her eye.
"Ooh! Clothes shopping! How fun!" Jessie ran over to serena, thrilled. "I wouldn't mind getting out of these rags now that you mention it." James said while looking at his clothes.
"Ok! You go with them shopping, but I need to work on some moves with my pokemon!" Ash said with determination in his eyes. Clemont leaned over and said to ash, "I think you should have one of your pokemon go with Serena just in case they try to pull something. We still don't know if we can trust them."
"That's a good idea." Ash said, reaching for a pokeball. He threw it and out came the wrestling pokemon, hawlucha. Ash kneeled down to his height and said, "Hey hawlucha! I need you to go with Serena and protect her just in case something happens. Can you do that for me?" Hawlucha nodded his head with a "haw! Lucha!" Ash knew hawlucha wouldn't let him down.
~Timeskip to clothes shop because I'm lazy~
"Wow, twerpette! You might be annoying, but you've got a sense of style!" Jessie said while looking at the mirror, amazed at her new clothes serena picked out.
"I've never looked better!" James said while turning around. "It's simple, but I think it works!" Serena mentioned, proud of her work. "Hey, can I get this hat? I like it." Meowth asked serena. "Sure! I think it looks great!" Serena smiled at the small cat pokemon.

Hawlucha nudged meowth away because he deemed meowth too close to serena. He spread his arms in a defensive position. Hawlucha then growled at meowth. "Hey pal, what's your deal? I just want to look at a hat!" Meowth said with a confused look on his face.
"Hawlucha, i know that you're just trying to protect me, but they aren't hurting anyone." Serena said while crouching down to his level. "Besides, if I wanted to hurtcha, I woulda scratched you silly." Meowth claimed.
They paid for their new clothes and went back to ash and the gang to camp out for the night, as it was getting late. "I guess they are good people when they aren't trying to steal your pokemon." Serena thought, gazing up at the evening sky.
