We've only been walking a little bit when my legs grew weak. I could hear the leaves rattle behind us and I could only guess who it was.
"We can hear you." Caspian said to anything behind us. I jerked my head back to watch behind me. Then to our surprise the same two creatures from the house followed us out. They came out of the two trees and I couldn't help but smile.
"I just think we should wait for the Kings and the queens." The badger said coming further away from the tree. At this comment Caspian didn't hesitate to turn back and walk away. He grabbed my wrist forcing me to follow, I was going to anyway.
"Fine! Go then, see if the others will be understanding!" The badger yells. Caspian didn't stop and neither did I."Maybe I'll come with you, I want to see you explain things to the minotaurs." the man said following us. We shared a confused look and stopped dead in our tracks. I've only heard of such things in stories.
"Minotaurs? They're real?" I asked. I could tell I took the words right out of Caspian's mouth since he had only heard them in tales and legends as well.
"And very bad tempered." The badger added.
"Yeah and not to mention big, huge!" the man said.
"What about centaurs. Do they still exist?" Caspian said now following the two creatures.
"Well the centaurs will probably fight by your side. But there's no telling what the others will do." The badger said. I looked at the creatures and grabbed Caspian's wrist pulling him away from them.
"Do you really believe this Caspian? It feels like a dream. I mean come on talking badgers, extinct Narnians?" I say trying to calm down.
"Y/n I would know if I were dreaming. Plus it was never proven they were completely extinct." He responded.
"Well come on, we will got a lot of walking to do." Nikabrik said. (he is the human looking Narnian) I looked forward to see both Trufflehunter (the badger) and Nikabrik (the human like Narnian). I looked at Caspian with my mouth slightly open. He walked away and I didn't have any other choice but to follow them.
"What about Aslan?" Caspian asked. Trufflehunter and Nikabrik stopped at the same time when Aslan's name was brought up. They slowly turned their heads to look at us, looking at each other as they did.
"How do you know so much about us?" Nikabrik said aggressively walking towards us.
"Stories." I say stepping in front of Caspian.
"Wait a minute, your father told you stories about Narnia?" Trufflehunter asked.
"No, our professor he..." Caspian trailed off. "Listen I'm sorry, these are not the type of questions you should be asking." He continued to say angrily. He walked straight through the gap between the creatures and looked behind to make sure I was following him. He was always protective of me and made sure I went wherever he went, except any where dangerous.
"What is it?" Nikabrik asked the badger
"Human." He answered simply.
"Them?" Nikabrik asked Trufflehunter as he continued to smell the air.
"No. Them." Trufflehunter said quickly. From a distance we could hear men shouting. We all turned our heads trying to find out where it was coming from. Caspian looked straight through my eyes and grabbed my wrist nervously pushing me behind him, continuing to look for the soldiers.
"Caspian. Stop! I'm not a child you don't have to protect me!" I said in a loud whisper.
"Y/n! I want to make sure you're safe!" He also said in an aggressive whisper.
