After Edmund walked away from me on the stone cliff I didn't see him again. Hours later I sat with Caspian on another one of the many ledges the stone monument had. As we sat in silence I heard foot steps coming near us, our professor sat in the middle of us, in the space we left open.
"Why did you never tell us about our father?" Caspian said, I was wondering the same thing.
"My mother was a black dwarf from the northern mountains. I risked my life all these years so that one day... You both would be better royalty than those before you." He responded.
"Then we have failed you." I say innocently.
"Everything I told you both... and everything I didn't, it was only because I believed in the two of you. You have the chance to become the most noble contradictions in history... The Telmarines who saved Narnia." He said calmly in a raspy voice. I settled down at these words, looking down at the view. I looked over at Caspian seeing he also was looking at the scenery, I looked back.
But then Caspian looked out and pointed at many Telmarine soldiers. So many of them came flossing out of the forest. Edmund came out and looked over the ledge with us, I didn't want to say anything to him, not in front of Caspian.
"Edmund, go get Peter." Caspian said. Edmund soon rushed out and back into the cave.
"Do you think we're ready?" I ask Caspian.
"I dearly hope so Y/n." He said nervously. Peter and Lucy came rushing out with Edmund to look at the soldiers marching out of the forest. I looked up and Peter and he looked at me concerned. Now after a bit of staring at the many soldiers in complete fear Susan, Trumpkin, and professor had joined us.

"Cakes and kettledrums. That's your next big plan? Sending a little girl into the dark parts of the forest? Alone!" Trumpkin protests. All head Narnians including me and Caspian gathered in the main part of the stone building.
"It's our only chance." Peter defends.
"And she won't be alone." Susan makes a point.
"Haven't enough of us died already." Trumpkin says directly to Lucy.
"Nikabrik was my friend too. But he lost hope Queen Lucy hasn't. And neither have I." Trufflehunter says. Edmund was sitting next to him, and my eyes kept being drawn to Edmund.
"For Aslan." Reep the mouse says drawing his sword.
"For Aslan." A bear says in a deep voice:
"Then I'm going with you." Trumpkin says to Lucy.
"No. We need you here." She said back to him.
"We have to hold them off until Lucy and Susan get back." Peter says.
"If I may..." Caspian says. He was standing next to me. What could he say in this situation?
"Miraz may be a tyrant and a murderer..." He says standing up and slowly walking towards Peter.
"But as King he is subject to traditions and expectations of his people." He adds. I knew where this was going, he was right Miraz wouldn't turn down traditional duel.
"And there is one that may buy us some time." I add standing up and walking towards Caspian. Caspian and I tell Peter and everyone the plan and they have no other option to get us time, so they give into the plan and Peter writes to Miraz.
"Edmund deliver this to Miraz." Peter says handing him the scroll of parchment.
"Peter you can't expect him to go alone." Lucy protests at Peters comment.
