The Happiest Day (Christmas Edition)

They might be kinda short, sorry about that.... It's late in the year. Hope you enjoy!! (This one is a little cliché)

Your POV
We have been all antsy since we found out that Kakashi isnt coming home for christmas. (C/N) has been asking me where he is... and honestly I have no idea. I asked the hokage a few days ago and she said that they got stuck in the village they were in to secure something for their mission. And I don't mind that they have a mission they have to complete, I mean even I have to do missions and stay over time for them... but its christmas tomorrow and all I wanted was for (C/N) to see them.

(C/N) is about 11 months old and has started walking but still crawling and is trying to talk. So when they ask me where their dad is they grab my foot and tug on it and point to our bedroom down the hall. And everytime without fail they have this hope in their eye that makes saying daddy's not going to be home yet a little more depressing. Being with (C/N) has been one of the best things that I have ever had the opportunity of doing. I pick up my baby girl/boy and they just smile at me. I simply smile back and just admire them. They have their fathers white hair and my (E/C). They have his smile too that is simply adorable.

Kakashi has been gone for about a month and I'm getting worried. Not that I doubt him but I just have the wonderful mother instincts.

Third POV

She looks at her baby so full of care and worry. She loves this baby more than anything in the world and wants them to grow up and become this beautiful child that anyone and everyone can love. But at the same time she thinks of this world, a cruel one. Life isnt easy and shes afraid she wont be there to protect them.

She looks around and decides to go wrap some presents that she hasn't yet for her soulmate and child. She sits her baby on the tan covered carpet with their toys surrounding them and they get occupied and enjoy having fun. She goes to her room and grabs some wrapping paper and the toys and gifts she has put away in case any baby or baby daddy decided to come and look for them. She heads out to the table that's sits beside the kitchen as their family place and starts wrapping. She has a teething necklace, a few cute books, color pages with crayons, a few new stuffed animals and some new clothes. She wrapped all of that up and put it under the tree and her little baby comes over to her and sees what mommy's doing. (Y/N) is sitting on the ground putting them neatly under the tree when her baby tugs on her christmas sweater and points to the tree with the presents. She smiles sweetly at them and stands up with the baby in her arms and says, "Sweety, these are for christmas tomorrow. You cant open them yet. Ok? I love you." She puts them down and kisses their head and goes back to the table with the baby crawling behind them. She gets out a few presents she had for her husband and starts wrapping those that consist of: a new shirt, a new mask, some of his favorite colone, and some other stuff.  Wrapping all of that up she travels back into the living room and set them under the tree too. She looks around the living room to make sure everything is either clean or put away. She sees some Christmas decorations here and there. Their couch has a nice red and black plaid throw blanket over the back of it. Some lights hang from the wall draping down that light up when turned on. And the Christmas tree decorated with ornaments and lights in the corner across from the tv and couch.

Your POV
As it turns dark I take (C/N) to bed to go to sleep. They starts crying for her blanket and pacifier and I go into the living room where they left them and take it back to them. I give them to her and she lays on her back and goes to sleep as I cover her with a blanket "Goodnight baby. Tomorrow is Christmas and I hope you have a wonderful day. It's your first one did you know? I'm really excited that you get to see this one... though I am sad that your daddy cant be here this year, but dont put to much on him-" I smile softly knowing the cant hear me and continue "- he is trying his best to make us proud of him. He loves you so much baby. He was there for you when ever he could be. He has been there for me since we were children too. Goodnight baby." I walk out and turn off the light and close the door halfway trying to keep the room dark. I go into the living room and turn on the tv and start falling asleep on the couch thinking about tomorrow and how I could make that day so much fun for my kid.

Kakashi POV
I walk into the gates and see that it is almost dark and I head to the hokages office to report back to what happened.

After i walked out from the hokages office it was dark and i headed home to see my beautiful wife and child. They are the reason I survived today. I care about them so much and I want (C/N) to grow up being proud of his father, i want him to be proud of me.

I walk into the house and take off my shoes locking the door. I walk into the living room and put under the tree a necklace that was custom made for her. It was a little chain that has 3 blue silver hearts on it. Something yo represent our little family. I get up and I walk down the hall and I hear (Y/N) talking to our baby, "...trying his best to make us proud of him. He loves you so much baby. He was there for you when ever he could be. He has been there for me since we were children too. Goodnight baby." I go to the bedroom and wait for her and I just smile. Knowing that she knows that I care about her and love her. I feel this sense of pride and joy fill up inside me. This is why I'm here, I don't deserve this or them and here they are. In my house having my last name. I love them so much.

When I dont hear her anymore I start to worry at where she could be, i walk into the living room and see her asleep with the tv on. I smile and I pick her up taking her to the room. I put her under the blankets admiring how the moon shine just made her glow. She was truly and angel, a person that someone sent for me. She makes my life better, I kissed her on the head and i get in on the other side grabbing her so her head was on my chest waiting for tomorrow to see her beautiful face.

I wake up first to our child crying and i get to and go to the room, seeing them made my heart melt. I went to them and picked them up cradling them against my chest and put them back to bed in their crib watching them sleep for a few minutes. I walked into the kitchen and put on some hot chocolate. As I waited for the hot coco I went into the living room and sat down turning on the tv and enjoying the peace of being at home. I waited for the kettle to whistle and I heard someone stirring and I smiled gently thinking about my lovely wife.

She walked in and went straight into the kitchen to get her morning coffee without seeing me because she is probably in a daze from the morning drowsiness. I heard her stop. I look into the kitchen and see her looking around confused. She looked into the kitchen and saw me and just stared. I think she might be in shock?

Your POV
I just stared at him. I think I'm in shock. Then it hit me. HES HERE! I start running to him and jump in his arms almost crying. "You're here" I said to him holding him close and tight. "Told you that I would make it home for you guys." He let me go and smiled at me. I just grinned so wide and he gave me one of his confused head to the side looks and I grabbed his uniform collar and smashed our lips together. He was surprised for a second I think and I could feel him acknowledging me. When we finished he put his forehead on mine and we just sat in a peaceful silence till the whistle of the kettle went off and apperently so did the baby. I went to the kettle and he went to get the baby.

Kakashi POV
As I came back with (C/N) she had 2 hot coco in cups and some warm milk in their bottle. We gathered around the christmas tree and (C/N) went and started opening up their christmas presents and I handed mine to her. I was handed some presents from her and opened them and saw her open hers. I heard her gasp and put her hands up to her mouth. I smiled and grabbed it from her lap and motioned for her to turn around. She grabbed her hair so it wouldnt get tangled with the chain and I put it around her locking it together and she sat her hair back down. She grabbed (C/N) and had him in her arms and I grabbed both of them putting them next to me. Kissing both of their heads and she sat her head on my chest and I simply said "Merry Christmas."
