Melanie's P.O.V

After Chemistry, the four of us were supposed to have Spanish which I for once looked forward to because of our current assignment. Writing a book about ourselves, in spanish of course. But Mrs Johnson was apparently ill which meant we had free time!

Rhee gave the proposal for us to go out and eat which we all agreed to. There was also no hurry since after Spanish it was lunch time.

Currently, me and my friends were sitting in a small cafe named "Papa's Café". We often came here since it was really cozy, quiet and pretty. When you entered through the door there were booths that were blue and pink along the walls on both sides. Since it was Mars, it was still a bit dark outside, but the hanging light strings along the windows gave the cafe a more cozy feel. A Christmas song was played at a low volume from the radio and you could smell coffee in the warm air.

The waitress had already come to take our orders, Amara and Audrey ordered a hamburger with coke, while Rhee ordered pancakes with jam and a strawberry milkshake. I, on the other hand, ordered a chocolate milkshake and chicken nuggets.

While Amara was driving us here I had a long inner battle with myself, whether I should eat or not. It would be really suspicious if I didn't order anything but if I really wanted, I could've come up with an amazing excuse.

But then I thought, it's only one time, not like I'm going to stop my diet after this. I should enjoy a little, like a reward.

With those thoughts I finally made peace in my mind. Today I was going to eat like a normal person which included more than one meal.

"Earth back to Mel. Hello, are you listening." I came back to reality and saw Amara waving her hand in front of my face.

"I think she's on planet Pluto," said Audrey while eating her fries.

"What! Why would I be on Pluto, Audrey?"

"The heck am I supposed to know. You're always zoning out, and since Pluto is the farthest planet from earth it just makes sense....you know?," she tried explaining while making all these weird hand movements.

At her "explanation" we all started cracking up while she just glared at all of us.

"What now?!"

"First, Pluto is a dwarf planet and second, it's not the farthest planet from earth." Rhee explained, still shaking a bit from the laughing.

"This is why I fucking hate school! How the fuck am I supposed to remember that, and what the hell is a dwarf planet? Isn't dwarfs those small thingies from Snow white, since when did one live in space?"

We all started laughing once more and I even fell over, the whole cafe probably looked at us like we were stupid.

"Oh....Oh my god....I can't breathe" I could barely form a sentence.

"Ehm, please lower your voices, you're disturbing everyone. Also your orders will be here soon." After shutting us up the man went back to assisting another booth.

"You guys are so dramatic. Yes I am stupid, but you don't have to laugh at me."

Awww, she was so cute when she acted angry.

"Stop being so salty, Adi" Amara just snickered at her pouting face.

"Stop being so salty, Adi." She mimicked back.

Me and Rhee just looked at each other and began laughing again.

After 5 minutes, a waitress came back with our meals.
