Chapter 24: The Unexpected Return

Elena's POV

John: Isabelle, can I talk to you out in the hall please?

Isabelle: Of course John.

I sent Jer out about an hour ago to find Jenna. I kept getting texts but couldn't check them because of Isabelle. I pull out my phone as soon as her and John leave. I've got 10 texts and 5 missed calls from Jer. 4 texts from Klaus. And 2 missed calls from Lijah. I decide to call Jer first.

Jeremy: Lena, I found Aunt Jenna at the house with Alaric. But Alaric is acting weird.

Me: Wait, who's Alaric?

Jeremy: He's my history teacher. He's really cool. But he's not acting himself. He always calls me Jer but now he keeps calling me Little Gilbert. Now that I think about it he doesn't even know you so why would I be "Little Gilbert"? And he keeps mentioning a brother of his named Stef.

Me: Stef?!?! Jer get out of there!!!!

I heard the phone drop on the other line.

Me: Jer?!?!?!

Jeremy's POV

I was standing outside waiting for Lijah when I get a call from Lena.

Me: Lena, I found Aunt Jenna at the house with Alaric. But Alaric is acting weird.

Elena: Wait, who's Alaric?

I completely forgot that Lena's been out of school for a while so she wouldn't know Alaric.

Me: He's my history teacher. He's really cool. But he's not acting himself. He always calls me Jer but now he keeps calling me Little Gilbert. Now that I think about it he doesn't even know you so why would I be "Little Gilbert"? And he keeps mentioning a brother of his named Stef.

Elena: Stef?!?! Jer get out of there!!!!

I turn around and see Alaric behind me. Then everything went black.

Elena's POV

Me: Jer?!?!

Damon: Nope guess again Dopplicious.

Me: Salvatore?!?!?! Aren't you suppose to be dead?

Damon: Turns out a witch on the other side wants your triplets destroyed so she used her magic juju and here I am.

Me: What'd you do to my little brother?!?!?!

Damon: Oh you don't have to worry about him anymore. He's dead.

I hang up the phone and call Klaus.

Klaus: Lena? What's wrong?

Me: It's Damon Salvatore Klaus. He's at the mansion. He killed Jer!!!!

Klaus: Lena, it's ok. I thought about something happening to him when you got kidnapped by The Salvatores. I had the Bennett witch do a spell on a bracelet he always wears. He'll be fine. I'm going to call Lijah, he's headed towards the house right now. I hope he rips Salvatores heart out!!! Nobody touches my little brother and gets away with it!

I hang up the phone just in time. A second after my phone call John and Isabelle walk back in.

Isabelle: Who were you on the phone with?

Me: My brother. Lijahs on his way back with Niklaus.

John: Is he stupid! You guys are seriously going to hand the triplets over to die just to save Jenna? That's Great! Parents of the year!

Me: Shut up John! You have no right to talk about good parenting!

John: I gave you to my brother to keep you safe! You're just handing your babies over to die!

Isabelle: Ok stop fighting! I would have gotten them anyways.

It's  been 10 minutes and I still haven't heard nothing from anybody. I was starting to worry. All the sudden I see Elijah behind Isabelle with a stake. He stabs her in the heart.

Me: Wait, what about Jenna!!!! Damon has Jenna. He'll kill her!!!

Elijah: My sweet Lena, everything's ok. Jenna's safe. Damon's dead...again. Jer and Klaus are in the car with Nikky. Let's grab Alyssa and Jeremy and get out of here.

Finally Alyssa, Niklaus, and Jeremy are all safe...for now.
