Missing Things and thoughts

Arabella glared at the letter in her hands. This letter, this piece of parchment, was something she wished she had never received. She had stayed in her room wearing simply her slip. Her silvery white hair still damp from her bath, and laying against her back.

There were so many things about the letter that made her so angry. First of all Jon and her were actually twins. Yes, they had assumed they were twins, but they couldn't exactly prove it. Secondly her birth name was not Arabella Stark, it was Alys Rose Targaryen. Jon was born Aegon Jon Targaryen. They were the children of Lyanna Stark. Her mother was Lyanna Stark, the woman nearly everyone claimed she was until they saw her eyes. Her light violet eyes shone brightest when she was angry. Oh how violet her eyes must appear now. She could feel her blood boiling within her. She was the child of her mother's kidnapper and rapist.

Well she felt that the last one wasn't the truth, or maybe she felt that she shouldn't be that angry at all. She should be thankful that her uncle did everything he could to keep her and Jon safe. Even now, miles away she could feel him next to her, offering the words she needed to hear to calm down. He was a good father to her, and he had been there for Jon as best as he could be. He lied to his wife and others about Jon's true parentage. That in itself could be considered treason, considering who he was actually hiding within his wolf den. He was hiding the true heirs to the throne that sits in King's Landing.

He knew that Arabella would need to marry someone who could keep her safe when he couldn't. Ned had to have known that Tywin would be able to know something powerful was within the girl his son was marrying. There was no way Tywin did not notice the speckles of purple in her eyes. How pale her skin was in compassion to those around her. How she looked nearly exactly like her mother, and at times acted just like her. Ned had also seen how Jaime was around her. He had treated her like she was fragile like a priceless family heirloom. He could see the effect Arabella had on him. How the tenseness in Jaime's shoulders dropped when Arabella smiled his way. How Jaime did not seem to notice his sister as much as he usually would. Even Tyrion had noticed this, though there was not much the dwarf missed. Ned also knew that if Tywin was ever tired of Robert or his children he could use the knowledge and put his son and good daughter on the throne. Tywin was no fool, and he knew the previous king very well having served him as his hand.

Arabella, of course, did not know any of those things. She thought she was married to Jaime to keep her safe. Which she believed he thought he was doing when he left her in King's Landing. Oh did she have some words for him, if she ever saw him again that is. Did she really want to ever see him again? She had felt happiness when she was with him, and she could tell he was a good man. No matter what anyone told her. He had tried to do right by her, and that was all that she asked from him. She wondered if he was thinking of her right now as she was of him. Dare she say she actually missed him. He challenged her to be witty, strong, and calculating. She challenged him to be wise, patient, and the good man she knew he could be.

Suddenly a cough outside the tent took her from her thoughts. Arabella looked back down at the letter, then towards the door.

"My lady. Are you okay," Amelia asked from outside the door. Arabella placed the letter back in the sack, and walked towards the door. She opened it slightly to look around and see if Amelia was alone. Upon noticing that she was Arabella let her in.

"I'm okay Ami. Or I will be soon. Can you help me hide my hair in a veil until we can find some way to get my hair back to a less noticeable color," Arabella said with a small smile.

"Yes my-," Ameila starts.

"If you say my lady again, I may kick you. We spent weeks alone in the forest. You can call me Ara," Arabella tells her.

"How about pain in my butt," Amelia retorts back.

"Now that's much better," Arabella replies with a chuckle.

Jaime hated to admit it, but his father was right. Jaime knew that Cersei would go after the girl the first moment she got. Jaime, while he could care less about himself, truly cared what others had thought of his little wife. He truly did care for her, but he knew that she would be used as his weakness. He prayed that she was okay. That she was safe, even if it was with her family.

He missed her as well, even the little things she did to annoy him. For example, argue with him for no reason than to simply argue with him. When they both knew he was right about an issue. He missed how she would float around the castle, but always ended up by the dragon skulls. He loved the first time he showed them to her. Her eyes got so big, so bright, he could have sworn that he had a child in front of him instead of a ten and seven year old woman. She had asked him every time they were down there to tell the story about one of the bigger skulls in the hallway. Jaime knew that he had no part in raising the kids but he felt his heart sore when he saw Arabella playing with Tommen or Myrcella. She had tried to talk with Joffrey, but the boy nearly bit her head off, she stayed clear from him after that. He missed how she was kind to everyone around her, and often did not care about people or their status. He was reminded of the King who never was, Rhaegar. He had respected the prince, and he had accompanied him down with Ser Barristan to the town to be with his people.

Jaime saw a lot of similarities between the two, mainly in their mannerisms. If Jaime didn't know she was Ned Stark's daughter he could swear she was Rhaegar's. They were both kind to everyone. They were both very skilled with swords, almost naturally good. They both were normally calm people, but when angered it was like a dragon was unleashed on the city. They both carried themselves in high status, but were able to be kind, compassionate, and noble. Sometimes Jaime wondered if Arabella really was a dragon when she was angered. He had seen it only once, and it was a sight that will forever be burned within his mind. The room had been destroyed, her eyes seemed purple in color, and he swore he saw flames coming from her mouth and smoke from her nose and ears. It had taken Jaime nearly an hour to calm her down, and talk things through with her. He nearly hated to see what would have happened if Arabella was able to physically hurt his sister when Cersei felt the need to pick on Arabella. However in some ways, he wanted to see her fight back, but he knew that his wife would have been hung.

Jaime missed having Arabella laying next to him as well. She was always warm and she loved to snuggle into him. She was affectionate, something he never had with Cersei.

If Jaime made a list of all the things he misses about Arabella he would be up all night, and not resting for the battle he has to win tomorrow.
