I sat cross legged in the middle of the forest. I could still hear all the commotion going on at the house because I wasn't that far away. But I must say they have horrible tracking skills if they can't find me. Like seriously, either follow my sent or follow the sound of me breathing. Its not that fucking hard. Calm dawn before you lose it Valerie.
I wish my cousins weren't such idiots.
Also coming from quite a distance away, some rouges are planning a surprise attack. Yea, and all this pack cares about right now is where I went and what's for supper. Such idiots.
The rouges started getting closer and I realized that this is the time I can show them idiots how to really fight and defend. I have an advantage as well. Everett doens't know this, but since he marked me, we can communicate to each other whenever we want to. So in my mind I reached out to him and I could feel him freeze because he doesn't know whats happening.
'Don't worry Everett, it's just me.' He tried to say something but I cut him off, 'Get everyone inside right now and put the curved blades on the porch.'
'Why?' He asked with a slightly annoyed tone.
'There are rouges coming and since your pack warrior isn't here, I have to protect your pack like I promised.'
I heard him sigh deeply before blocking me out. He must be really pissed at me. I know that Uncle Max didn't tell them about me because I was listening, but he probably feels abandoned because I am keeping something big from him and he knows it. After everyone had retreated into the pack house and Everett had put the blades onto the porch, I got up and walked towards the back yard.
I sat myself on the ledge of the railing and held onto the two swords while looking at my nails. Make the rouges think that you are weak and they will go easy on you. Even though I really don't need them to. They slowly came out of the bushes all in their wolf forms and started to smirk once they saw me. I counted ten of them. They smelt horrible. Worse than the ones that try to invade my territory.
The big black one in the middle let out a little wolf chuckle and turned back into his rugged human form. He let his eyes graze over my body shamlessly which sent bad shivers down my spine. I could hear the low growl coming from Everett inside and so did he because he started to laugh even more. "Well, to what do I owe this pleasure?" The rouge smirked at me as he walked closer.
I didn't flinch, I didn't even hardly look up, "I should be asking you the same thing."
I saw him raise his eye brow at me, "So you know who I am then don't you?"
I looked up at him with my glowing wolf eyes. See, when my wolf takes over my human form, my eyes don't change black. They go white. It has to do with what has happened to me in my past. "Of course I know who you are." His face fell as my eyes glowed brighter, "I've actually been looking for you for quite some time."
He took a step back, "When did you get here?"
I jumped off the railing and shrugged, "Dunno. Like four days ago, maybe five." He froze and I started to circle him while pretending to inspect the blades, "You know I must be thanking you."
"Why is that?" He asked in a whisper.
"Well, if you wouldn't have invaded my pack so many years ago, then I would have never been as invincible as I am today. So thank you for turning me into the weapon I am."
I smiled and stuck the blade into his back. I didn't get to see his face though as his eyes rolled into the back of his head and he fell forward face first into the earth. The other rouges were still for only a moment, then all hell broke loose. Literally. They all charged at me at the same time and I only had milliseconds to react.
I stabbed the first one in the chest and managed to kick the second one in the face before the third one toppled me over. I got the second knife into his chest and shifted fully into my wolf form before throwing the dead body aside. The second one came back for more and I tore my teeth into his neck causing him to become limp immediately.
Four down, six to go. They all surrounded me while they growled. I changed into my human form once again and let my eyes glow white. The next teo lunged at me at the same time and I managed to doge both before grabbing both of their neck and using my half shift to tear out their throats with my bear hands.
The next two did the exact same thing. You'd think they would have learned after the first two. Now there was only two petrified looking wolves left. "Go and tell whomever is in charge, that I'll be waiting." I smirked at them and shooed them away with my bloody hands. I watched and listened to them carefully as they ran off into the distance. "Eww! I have blood all over me, and it's not even mine!" I shrieked as my wolf went back somewhere in my mind to rest.
"Valerie!" I heard Everett's voice yell from the porch. In no time he was at my side. "Are you hurt? Whats wrong?"
I shivered as I looked down at my bloody clothes, "Rouge blood is disgusting!"
I heard him let out a little chuckle, "I will go get the garden hoze."
Haha, I love Valerie!! So, tell me what you think of this story!!! :D
