chapter five

And so at 10pm, kenma sits on his bed facing the window where moonlight shines in.

"Should I even believe what kuroo said..." Kenma mumbled to himself while staring at the full moon.

"Meow." Pudding purred, resting his body on kenma's lap.

"I guess there's no harm in trying. I mean is not like it's going to come true anyways." Kenma shrugged his shoulders.

Putting his hands together and closing his eyes, he starts wishing.

"I wish that pudding can turn into a human."

The cat on his lap looked up, tilting his head at his owner which kenma stroke the cat gently after opening his eyes.

"I wish you are a human."

Ohh... Wait what? He wished that I'm a human? Pudding look at kenma surprised.

That's fast...

In order for hinata to revert back to his human form, he needs to find someone who he have red strings attached to, and that someone would have to make a wish related to him.

Be it just a small wish like "I wished pudding to be happy" would also allow the cat to revert back to his original form.

Pudding purred happily, excited to be back to his human form. 

I wish to be a human!

The sunlight shines brightly through the window, making kenma furrow his eyebrow at the bright light.

Kenma grunts in tiredness as he turn to sleep on his right side where pudding normally sleeps at.

Stretching his arms as he pats on the bed randomly in search to touch a certain fluff ball. But instead, he touch something human-like.

"Huh...what's this?" Kenma mumbled, slowly opening his eyes while he hit on the thing harder.

"Ow! Stop hitting me."

Kenma immediately stops what he is doing and was jolted awake. Staring at the naked human beside him.

"What the heck? Who are you?" Kenma stare at the unknown human in annoyance and confusion.

The orange hair male sluggishly open his eyes and sit up.

"I'm hinata shoyo." While hugging a pillow and resting his head on it.

"Hinata shoyo? I have never heard that name before. Why are you here?" Still staring at the male with annoyance.

The orange male shakes his head in attempt to be more awake.

Looking at his owner, he smile brightly and said "I'm pudding! The cat that followed you home. I have turn into a human just like what you wished last night."

Hinata look at his hands happily, "It's a human hand! I have no paws anymore!" Hinata exclaimed, showing his hands to the older one.

"Pudding...? You're pudding?" Kenma look at the orange male suspiciously, not believing what the male said.

"Yep. If I'm not wrong there's still parts of me that have not revert back yet..." Hinata said as he touch his face and hair in search of any cat features.

"Oh. I still have my cat ears." Hinata pointed out, lowering his head to allow kenma to see.

Kenma stare at the ginger coloured fur on the cat ears.

It is pudding's ears. Kenma look at the orange hair male less defensively.

"I didn't know it will come true." Kenma said. The male did not expect much from the start since having a wish come true sounds like something from fairytale books.

"Well, now you know!" Hinata said cheerfully.

"By the way, what's your name?"

"Kenma kozume."
