Ethan's pov
"Alright guys, what do you think?" I ask them, stepping out in my suit.
"Yes! That one looks way better than the other one." Mika says grinning.
We were all at my place, Oliver, Tilly, Mika and Maddy. Pam was getting ready at Kathryn's house and I had no clue about Cory.
"Okay so Ethan you don't have to ride with us. We'll just text you when it's time to go, okay?" Oliver says.
"Alrighty then. Mika you can ride with me and Maddy you're riding with Finn so we'll see you there."
Maddy gives me a thumbs up. Before announcing that Finn was outside.
We wave bye to her.
"Are you nervous?" Mika asks as we get in my brother's car.
"Hell yeah, but I'm also excited." I say, looking out the window.
"Well I'm excited to see what you do and remember if he says no, you've always got me." Mika says smiling.
"Of course,"
"No matter what. Even though this year I was kind of a bitch to you."
"Really? I didn't notice." I say jokingly.
Mika rolls her eyes at me.
"I'm serious, though." She says after a bit.
"I know. I'll be here for you too."
"Now that we got the sappy stuff out of the way, let's get this party started!"

"For our second band, please welcome Matilda Anderson, Oliver Mathews and Ethan Nestor." The principal announces on the speaker.
Tilly rolls her eyes when she hears her first name.
"Alright guys, we got this." Oliver says, adjusting his microphone.
I was going to be the main person singing, with Oliver as my back up and Tilly would be playing the guitar.

We start up the song, everyone on the dance floor deciding that it was a slow dance song.
I self-consciously scanned the crowd until I saw him.
Mark and the girl I saw him with at school were slow dancing.
He didn't even know it was me up there singing, just like I thought.
I could see Mika smiling at me, recording the whole thing.
I saw Jack and Felix watching too, talking to each other.
We get halfway through the song before Mark notices me.
I decide not to focus on him and focus on singing.
Mark's pov
"Hey isn't that your friend?" Jessica whispers, glancing at the "stage".
I look up and she was right.
Ethan was up there, singing like an angel.
God I missed that voice.
Something about this song was so sweet and sad at the same time.
I look back at Jessica.
Why did I do this to him?
"Oh and I miss my lover," Ethan sings, looking everywhere but me.
