Break- Ups Are Hard

 I woke up the next morning in the hospital. I heard the door open. it was my best friends Tekeysia and  DeAndra, they were with my aunt Mercedes. They were worried about me.

 Aunty: What happened?

Me: All I remember is Trenton was trying to rape me and then he pushed me downstairs.

DeAndra: That's why we all warned you about him. He's no good.

Aunty: She's right! You have to break up with him. First, it was the drugs, now its trying to kill you.

Me: But I love him too much.

Tekeysia: I know break-ups are hard, but it's the right hing to do. Do you want to end up dead?

Me: No, not really.

Aunty: Well, you either break up with him or we will see you in your grave. You're just like your......

Me: Just like what?  My mom right!

Aunty: Yes, but she broke up with Ryan before she really got hurt

 Me: Now i see where i get my boyfriend genes from.

Aunty: Latoya?

Me: I think you guys should leave.

Aunty(walking away) You'll figure it out yourself. Just give it time.

I was hurt by the words my aunt was telling me and how she talked about my mother. But I  did learn one thing. She had an abusive boyfriend just like me. I turned my head to stare at  the window, I thought about what she and my friends said and they were right. I turned my head and they were gone. I laid down and cried a little. Suddenly there was a HUGE surprise for me. I saw Trenton come with some roses and a "get well" card.

Trenton: Hey babe. How are you?

Me: Oh, let me see. You put me in the hospital, secondly you keep abusing me. Plus, you're cheating on me with that hoe Destiny.

Trenton: WHAT!?!

Me: Yea, you heard me!!

Trenton: Who  told you?

Me: None of your damn business. You're a liar and an abuser. We're done!

Trenton: Over this! Bitch please!

Me: Are you fuckin' kidding me? You're such a liar and a fuckin cheater. Its like i can't trust you.

Trenton: What the hell is wrong with you?

Me: You're whats wrong with me.

I called for the nurse and she came in running.

Nurse: What's the problem?

Me: Can you please escort my ex-boyfriend out of here.

Nurse: Yes, of course.

The nurse pushed him out, as he left I waved him goodbye. After the break-up, I started to cry then laugh. I decided to call Tekeysia and  DeAndra. I was on three-way. 

Me: Guys guess what?!?

Both: WHAT!?!

Me: I BROKE up with Trenton and it feels so wonderful.

Both: OMG! 

Tekeysia: Finally!

DeAndra: Thank the lord.

Me: I know right.

Tekeysia: When do you get out of the hospital?

Me: Tomorrow why??

DeAndra: We want to take you out to the club. You're 20 years for crying out loud! Have some fun.

Me: Fine!

The girls were cheering! I had to pull the phone away from my ear for a second. The time was 11:35 pm. All three of us talked and talked. During the conversation, the nurse came in and told me it was time for me to go to sleep. For a second I got an attitude. But I was getting tired anyways. I told Tekeysia and DeAndra that I will see them tomorrow. Then I fell asleep. My dream was so disturbing. 

In my dream, it was me and some mystery man. We were in the club dancing and having fun. Suddenly, he kissed me and it was so passionate. It felt so right! I couldn't figure out who he was! He's not a guy that I ever had or dated before. He was my Mr. Right. I opened my eyes smiling. "I have to find him. He's my Mr. Right" I said to myself. I went right back to sleep again. That same dream kept going through my head continuously. I was happier than ever. 

My dream was supposed to pop up for the 28th time but something did. Tekeysia said break ups are really hard. I knew she was right! They are hard. I'm not ready to date yet. Oh well.
