A WEEK LATER.

"Conner, this is the day I should finally admit my feelings. I actually like you...Con-"

"Conner! Wake Up! It's time for school!"

"Whoa!? What?" I woke up in shock as my big sister Holly woke me up in the middle of a dream. I grabbed the pillow I was lying on and threw it at Holly. Then she probably went back to the kitchen preparing our breakfast. I took a hot shower thinking about the dream.

"Why did I even dream something so...Stupid! Like that's gonna happen." I sighed. I went downstairs to see what was for breakfast but it turned out Holly never bothered to make breakfast so I made myself a hot chocolate drink and went outside to watch the clouds. Memories flashed in my head. My family and I used to watch the clouds in peace every time we go out together on a picnic by the hanging tree near our house. Our old house. A tear dropped. Our parents left us a few years ago. It's just sad that Holly and I are just left alone together. It's just me and her. I got nobody else to count on.

After I drank, I wiped the lenses of my glasses. My eyes sometimes disturb my vision but not all the time though. It's just unfortunate I'm not allowed to play that much video games. The doctor told me so. I brought my guitar with me to play after school.

I rode my bike to school with my sister even though she goes to a different school. She just really wants to be with me in the morning before she leaves. We separate ways and I continue on my own, the usual routine. I park my bike near the tree that had a carved sign a symbol of a phoenix. I loved it. It fascinates me.

I walked to the hall room looking at trophies of our previous athletes. Most of the stuff I saw were Pierce's medals. Unfortunately they didn't have much room for the rest. They just hung there like nobody even cared.

"Another day at school in 5:59 in the morning." I opened the door and checked if there was anyone earlier than me. "Yup! Just as I suspected, I will still be the earliest of the-"

"Hey Dude, Morning!  Aren't you nervous." Lucas came in. Bringing props for the drama theater practice. I almost forgot. I was co-director of the play.

"Hey Lucas, good morning to you as well. I'm supposed to be nervous about what now?" I asked wondering why he was smiling.

"Tomorrow, it's Valentines Day" Lucas said in a french tone. Students started showing up. That isn't right. I always fix the room before any of my classmates could arrive.

We didn't have a calendar in our room. Instead, I checked my watch and pressed the start button and the date showed up, 2 13. I twitched my eye and walked up outside and sat on a bench under a tree and hardly thinking whether I do something about my LOVE LIFE. It sounds hella crazy but I was just thinking lately, how I was so different from everyone. I admire Amelia. Nothing else. Just friends. I might be thinking doing something for her. She has done so much for me over the years. Just to show my appreciation. Should I give her a rose? Chocolates? Bracelets? These are all men are expected to give. I wanted something special. I wanted to do something before class starts. Play a few songs I guess? I sighed going back to the classroom minutes later and never realized I bumped into someone.

"Watch it!" I shouted. I found out it was AMELIA. Her stuff fell on the ground. I fixed my glasses. "Oh, God! I'm so sorry! Are you okay? Here, let me carry your books." I said so nervously as if I accidentally bumped into the Queen of England. Does the universe have a problem with me? Coincidence? Destiny?

"It's okay Connor I can handle my things on my own."

"I insist."

I carried her things and followed her to her locker.

"So..Anyway thanks for carrying my things. I can't wait for tomorrow!"

"It's my pleasure."I gulped.

I was about to return back to the room when I overheard her asking something to herself, "I wonder what Pierce will give me this year? I hope it's not another bracelet. That guy must really know what true love is. Oh well."

Wow. She really must be okay with anything. She's just so content with whatever she gets. She doesn't even mind the appeal for taste.

She went running to her best friend, Heather.

All I have to do now is sit on my desk and wait for Summer or Anthony to come early so that I can have someone to converse with. I took out my planner from my bag and plan on what to do tomorrow. I did some doodling then Anthony came in.

"Finally! It took you an ETERNITY to get here!" I said enthusiastically.

"Did you know?" Anthony asked anxiously.

"Know about what?"

He sighed.

"Pierce got his ankle sprained and his other leg cramped both at the same time after He ran so fast in the field and tripped."

In my mind I was worried about Pierce, just a little though, he sort of saved my life and I totally owe him big time. Pierce and I are actually related. I'm his uncle. Even though he is several days older than me. It sounds weird but we were actually pretty close when we were so young. Until we haven't been seeing each other.

Something came to my thought, that meant he wouldn't be in school and  he wouldn't know what's about to happen, and he will be out of my way and I can finally do the thing I've always wanted.

Ask Amelia on a date.
