Almairah woke up in pain, struggling to open her eyes as her capturers had left to meet their master. She opened her eyes to see yesterdays stale bread on her plate which was served by the prison ward. They would have killed her by turning her into her wraith but the depths of her brave and courageous soul did not let them do so. She knew she had to escape but she did not have any energy left. She heard the hoots of the horses of the wraiths nearby, they worked for the demon king, Sverbus.
Almairah decided to pretend that she was dead as she knew they would feed from her energy. She heard their footsteps coming nearer with each second. She knew her powers were inactive like a sleeping volcano as she gained energy from the nature. The leader of the wraiths neared her cell to see nobody, he screamed her name in anger and fear of how his master would react, "Almairah" as the prison shook, the wards were shaking in fear of the trauma they would have to go through.
Almairah did not know the potential of her powers but was told by both of her parents to keep it a secret, to act weak. Their advice was, "the enemy should not see you as a threat but a weakling, this is the only way you can protect yourself". She feel into the abyss of her nightmares, but this time it was not a nightmare but rather a different realm, Almairah knew she had entered the realm of the dead witches where she saw her grandmother, the queen calling her. Almairah decided to follow her voice and then there she saw her. Her grandmother was a notable witch from the Royal clan of powerful witches. Aveera showed her granddaughter hope as the fireflies danced around them. She called upon Almairah, "my child, you must escape today, you are everything that you need on this quest". She blessed Amairah with all her powers as she needed it.
Almairah struggled to open her eyes, and found the rays of the sun kissing her pale brown skin. She realized that she was no longer in the captivity of her nightmares. Her grandmother had told her that she had the power to travel to different realms in different dimensions. She realized that she was in the jungle and had to escape the terrors of her capturers and their demon master, Sverbus. On her way, she ventured darker into the jungle trying to gain her energy source from nature. Almairah's memories of her parents were still fresh like yesterday, her mother was the princess of the powerful Aveel witch clan, where the witches were direct descendants of the witch goddess, Hecate.
Almairah saw a Ketaki, a flower with higher value due to its fragrance but cursed not to be used in worship to Lord Shiva. It reminded Almairah, of her true identity, cursed by the prophecy to be immortal, invincible and uncontrollable. She feared the blessings of the goddess was a curse upon her as she was captures when she was 4 years old. Her father, Damon, the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack sacrificed his life protecting her and found eternal refuge in the realm of elves as his mother was the queen of elves, Zaladriel. She knew she had to find the queen of the elves, Zaladriel in order to find out more about the prophecy. The way to the elvish realm was unknown to her as she had never been there and hoped that the meditation would help her reach the destination. Although Zaladriel knew more about the Prophecy, she had to seek Azuli's assistance in finding Zaladriel as she had disappeared 18 years ago protecting the prophecy from those that wanted to acquire it to rule all the realms, the demons.
Almairah knew she had to be back in the mortal world before 1 am in order to be protected from the charm cast outside her uncle's house as her body was still lying lifeless on the bed but first she had to travel to the depths of the jungle in the Brazilian forest to discover some clues about the prophecy and gain her source of energy from nature. She sat in the midst of the dark jungle and chanted through her soul to gain positive energy from the trees surrounding her. Almairah hoped that help would come if she sent her positive vibrations towards the depths of the jungle. She sat silently and meditated, listening to the sound of the creek flowing nearby, insects buzzing, birds chirping with the wind whistling. Almairah prayed that help would arrive before the Wraiths arrival so she could leave for home on time. She had to know and understand the prophecy before making the next move as her Uncle's house was no longer safe for her and Salma, her black cat. Sverbus had located her and on her way to home from school he had captured her personally and asked the Wraiths to serve her well. He knew her powers would not work at sharp 6pm since he watched her everyday after the sacrifice her parents made to protect her.
