"Simeon? Would you like to help me make some snowflakes?"
That softly, yet happily spoken sentence repeated itself in the tanned angel's mind.
Ever since his little lamb had called and asked him, he had pondered about what they had meant with those words.
He couldn't think about any explanation, but since he already had said yes to help them he would surely find out in short, right?
That's why the puzzled angel was on his way towards the student council meeting room.
After a soft knock on the large door he pushed them open and stepped inside of the large room, his eyes already searching for this lovely but sometimes a tad bit crazy human he called his friend. And they were easy to spot for the angel.
They already sat at the table which was buried underneath stacks of paper – white ones as well as colourful ones – and was busy with... What were they doing there?!
This question was answered the very moment when they looked up from their strange work and spotted him.
"Simeon! Glad you could make it! I'm sorry that I've already started, but I couldn't resist!"
A sheepish smile formed itself on my lips while I jumped up from my seat and rushed towards the confused looking angel.
"Hello there, little lamb. I..." I didn't even let him finish his greeting. Instead I pulled him into a tight hug before I dragged him along towards the table.
Proudly I pointed out all those things I had gathered for making snowflakes: scissors, papers, and even some punchers with different shapes like snowflakes, fir-trees, snowmen, and so on and so forth.
I even had managed to get my hands on spray cans with synthetic snow! All I needed now was some help with finishing everything up...
"I thought you wanted to make snowflakes? Where's the water?"
Much too his surprise I threw my arms around him and giggled in joy. "And that's why I like you so much, Simeon! We don't need water. Wait, I'll show you!"
For starters I took one of the sheets of white paper and started to fold it several times before I grabbed one of the scissors.
"We're making paper-snowflakes. You can cut however you want, but you must be careful or else they'll fall apart. Let me show you..."
Under Simeon's curious and watchful eyes I placed some cuts into the paper and removed what I had cut out until I was satisfied with the visible pattern.
But it wasn't until I opened out the folded paper again that the angel's puzzled look turned into one of understanding.
Several hours later the poor table almost collapsed under the sheer number of finished paper-snowflakes and other decorations we had handcrafted while we almost toppled over from laughter.
But we weren't finished yet! "Come now; we've got to decorate the rooms! Lord Diavolo allowed it~"
It took us even longer to place our handcrafted decorations all over the RAD classrooms and offices than to make them; especially because we also used the spray cans to leave festive pictures of trees, stars, and snowflakes on several windows.
But eventually we managed to finish up and shuffled of the school grounds.
"That was fun!" How Simeon still could be so 'wide awake' was a mystery to me.
"Indeed, it was. Thank you for helping me, I really enjoyed it."
The smiling angel found himself in another hug of mine, a grateful one this time, before I pressed a short kiss onto his cheeks and bid him my goodbye.
"Good night, Simeon, see you in the morning~!"
Afterwards I dragged my tired body back home, sending a last wave towards my smiling friend before I was out of sight.
Maybe, if I hadn't been as tired as I was, I would have noticed the faint blush on his cheeks and the unusual shy expression on his face...
