"A BBQ?" Kageyama looked at Hinata and me confused. "Yes! Coach said we would celebrate our win from yesterday with BBQ!" Hinata told him the news while jumping up and down. Kageyama didn't show much interest in the topic though. "Do you not like BBQ Kages?" "Oh I do.." "Mmhm" I stared intensely at him. "The last BBQ we had he was dancing!" "Dancing? Kageyama dancing??" "BOKE!! SHUT UP!" The shrimp ran away with Kages running affer him. A small laugh left my mouth. Not soon after the bell rang for class to start.
~~~AFTER CLASS DURING LUNCH~~~
"(Y/n)! (Y/n) come over here!" Hinata eagerly pulled me towards a table with the team calming eating lunch. "Hey (Y/n) , glad you could join us." Suga happily greeted me with a friendly smile. I never realised how lucky I was to have such caring friends. "Boke, move over." A familiar voice was heard from behide me. I look next to me and Kageyama is there next to me. "Hey Kags." "Hm?" Not even two seconds into his lunch and his face is covered in rice. "Are you hungry?" His cheeks light up in pink. "Y-yeah a litte bit.." I laugh from his cute actions. I grab a napkin thats close by and slowly take off the rice covering his face. He takes my hand and hold his cheek with it. "AYY LOVEBIRDS GET A ROOM!!" Noyas loud comment stopped both of us in our tacks. "S-sorry." Kageyama looks at me as I smiled softly. Lunch went by fast, but the team was still as lively as normal.
~~~AT PRACTICE/THE BBQ~~~
I walked into the gym and was greeted by Yachi and Kiyoko. "The boys are out back uf you want to join them." "Thanks Kiyoko, See you guys later!" I pushed open the back door to see 2 grills, one handled by Ukai the other by Daichi. Not only that, but a group of very excited boys. Tsukishima and Yamaguchi were off to the side while Kageyama and Hinata were beaming with excitement. Suga helped Daichi with the food and Asahi was crying with joy. Ennoshia was holding down Tanaka and Noya from going to Kiyoko. I went over to Kages and hugged him from behind. "Hm? Oh (y/n)." He turned to face me with BBQ on his plate. "Is it good?" "Very." "What kind of response is that?" Hinata commented from the side. "Boke shut up." The night was fun and its safe to say everyone had a fun time. "Hey (Y/n), you want some of this?" I turn to see Kages gesturing to his plate full of meat. "No thats ok you need the extra meat. Plus I've had my fair share already." "Are you ready to go home? You seem sleepy." I look up at him abd give him a small smile. "Although you're not wrong, I'm still happy to be here." "Come one get your stuff I'll walk you home."
~~~LATER~~~
"Boke hurry up!" Kageyama yelled for me. "Jeez- im here I'm here." "Come on lets go." I walk out of the gym and look up at the sky while taking a big breath in. "So pretty.." "What's pretty?" I looked up to my side and saw Kages confused face. "Boke what is it?" I pulled my arm out of my pocket and put it infront of him. "Come on." "Y-your hand." "Dummy you dont know how to hold hands?" I quickly grabbed his hand and interlocked it with mine. No words were spoken, just peaceful scilence. "T-thank you." His sudden voice made my heart jump. "For what?" "For..being with me." My face was flustered with pink. "Im glad im with you.." Once again scilence filled in the space around us. Our footsteps could be heard clearly on the sidewalk. "Can I kiss you?" Kiss? Did I hear that right? He said kiss right? "Kiss?" "Ah I mean no never mind it was a stupid idea."
~~~3RD PERSON POV~~~
Suddenly Kageyamas hand was pulled back. He looked back in shock to see (y/n) staring up at him. "I like the idea." "Y-you do??" "Yes." Both of their faces were bright red. Kageyama wasnt expecting to get this kind of reaction. Slowly he bent down while turning his head to the perfect angle. (Y/n) went up to reach his height. The small space between them was closed as their lips met. The kiss was passionate and loving. Not to long after they split apart but never broke eye contact. "I love you." Kageyama spoke up first and said those 3 words. He loves me? He loves me! (Y/n) jumped up in happiness hugging him in thr process. "I love you too Kageyama." Tobio wrapped his arms around their waist and held them close. "Tobio. You can call me Tobio.." "O-okay, Tobio." His face lit up in happiness. Slowly he looked down towards his lover. He smiled. A real smile. One that wouldnt, no, one that couldnt scare anyone. A genuine smile. (Y/n) looked at him amazed, they gave him a bright smile too. He released them from his grasp and went back to holding their hand. They peacefully walked back home.
