Yesterday was a good day. Hanging out with Corbyn and Christina all day and just seeing Spokane more then I have with all my years of living here. The snow isn't as bad today, making it easier to see where I'm going. I walk into the small café seeing Corbyn already sitting by the window. He stands up and walks over to me.

"Hey Dani. I got you your drink, you might want to ask Chris to heat it up though." He chuckles handing me my coffee.

"Oh you didn't have to do that." I try to pull my wallet out to pay him but he stops me.

"It's the least I could do. I had a great day with you yesterday and I wanted to pay you back." I smile at him and take a sip from my coffee.

"It's either you don't know how hot this is, or you can just eat fire or something." I pretty much burned the inside of my mouth with the coffee. He laughs and takes a sip of his.

"The only reason it's hot is because I made it hotter then usual. You don't need to start you day with a cold drink!" Christina yells from the counter.

"Are you eavesdropping?" I ask her.

"No, well yes but no. It's quiet in here so it's not that hard to hear you." I roll my eyes and move over to the chairs by the window.

"This is why I love winter. I could live without the holidays, I just need the snow, a coffee, and a good book," I say. I'm not sure if anyone's listening to me or not.

"The silence the snow brings, making it seem like the world just froze in time. It's both calming and eerie," Corbyn adds.

"Wow you really understand me. Most people say I'm crazy for saying I can live without the holidays."

"Well that's how I am. I like the holidays, but sometimes they can be too much." I nod and grab my bag. "What book are you reading to day Dani?"

"The first Nancy Drew book. I've already read it so I know what happens but it's a good book." He nods and takes another sip of his coffee, pulling out his book that he got yesterday. "What part are you at?"

"Her teacher just asked her to be in the debate club."

"Oh so you're already that far?"

"I'm a fast reader." He goes back to reading his book and my gaze lingers on him. His eyes sparkle with the snow from outside the window. His hair so perfectly placed yet still an adorable note of messy. I'm so fascinated by him and we only just met.

I look away form him, not wanting to be creepy. I go back to reading my book and fall into my own world of reading.

i forgot to mention but Aunties Bookstore is an actual bookstore in Spokane
