Monica's eyes fluttered open due to the rays of sun penetrating through her eyes. She groan and rub her eyes standing up, stretching her body and headed to the bathroom. She was brushing her teeth when she remembered she didn't met Daniel at her apartment and he wasn't picking up her calls. She shrugged and went on with her morning rituals.

She came out of the bathroom and took her phone dialling Daniel's contact again but he wasn't still picking after several rings. She went to the kitchen to prepare her breakfast which comprises of tea and bread with egg sauce. She sat gently and ate her food before getting dressed for the day.

She left her apartment and went inside the university taking the classes she had for the day. She was in Daniel's class lecturing but couldn't find Daniel on his usual seat.

She carefully looked around but he wasn't present and that got her slightly worried,she finished the class and dialled his contact but he wasn't still picking. Monica got scared and thought it's better to check up on him and get to know what's wrong.

She took a cab that took her from the university to Daniel's apartment,she came down from the cab paying the cab man with tip before sauntering away. She knocked on his door severally, the door suddenly opened revealing Daniel who was clad only on a jogger his full chest on display

"You haven't been picking up my call"Monica said and Daniel swallowed,he wasn't looking comfortable at all

"I was kinda busy can we talk later. I will come over to your apartment"Daniel said and it was obvious he's trying to dismiss Monica

"Are you driving me out of your apartment?"Monica asked not believing his sudden change of character

"No but...."Monica cut him short

"No but what?!"Monica asked chuckling. Daniel run his hands over his face and suddenly heard a voice he wished would have kept quiet

"Who's at the door?!"They heard Bianca's voice and Monica chuckled slowly getting angry.

"Uhmmm.... I'm coming"Daniel shouted back. Monica's phone suddenly start ringing and it was Lola,she picked the call immediately

"Monica!"Monica heard Lola's voice and got worried,her voice didn't sound too good "Monica! Have been played again!"Lola added and Monica could hear her crying,she suddenly got scared. She didn't know what's wrong with her

"Where are you?"she asked sounding worried

"I'm at work"Lola replied in between tears and Monica sighed

"Just come over to the house,I will be going to your apartment immediately"Monica said and her eyes involuntarily landed on Daniel,she frown immediately

"Okay"Lola replied and the call came to an end. Monica turn to leave but Daniel grabbed her hand

"Get your hands off me"Monica said calmly

"Monica...."Daniel started but Monica cut him short

"Don't Monica me,go and enjoy your woman please. I have somewhere important to be at"Monica said walking away

She took a cab that took her to Lola's apartment,she decided to bury what she feels presently and attend to her cousin sister who turned best friend. She opened the door and met Lola on the floor crying while Sarah knelt beside her trying to stop her from crying

"What happened?"she asked immediately her eyes fell on them getting quite worried

"I have been played Monica! I have been played!"Lola said bursting into tears. Monica got confused,she don't know what to do
