The sound coming out of the sitting room is something Daniel doesn't want to hear

Who is it again he wondered and stood up from his bed stretching,he took his day planner and saw he had class by ten in the morning and the time is just after eight. He wore his flipflop leaving the comfort of his room to see the cause of the havoc happening in his sitting room.

He rolled his eyes immediately he saw his mom and Bianca, his girlfriend, fiancé and future wife to be. He hates being in thesame room with this two women. He ignored them and walk to the kitchen taking a chill water to calm his anger.

Mrs Ogechukwu who hate being ignored or look down at got angry when she saw her son walk past her entering the kitchen like she wasn't sitting on one of the sofa's in his sitting room. She stood up angrily walking over to meet her son taking a chill water in the kitchen

"Good morning to you too Chisom"Daniel's mom said angrily. His family prefer calling him by his native name than Christian name

"Good morning mom"Daniel finally acknowledge his mom. He carefully dropped the glass of water he is holding on the kitchen island. He engulfed his mom in an hug kissing her cheek, this act always makes Mrs Ogechukwu's anger to evaporate

"Stop acting like you didn't see in the sitting room,I was talking with Bianca and you just came and walk past me like I meant nothing,I'm your mother Chisom,show some kind of respect!"Mrs Ogechukwu said trying to sound angry. Daniel that knows his mom too well only chuckled

"I just woke up I didn't see you"Daniel decided to take the easy way out by lying. He knows how pestering his mom can be

"Okay I forgive you"his mom said and they headed to the sitting room. Bianca on seeing Daniel stood up and went to his side,Daniel gave her a side hug

"It's odd seeing you at my apartment by this time of the day,what's wrong mom?"Daniel asked sitting down and the rest two did thesame. The family's house is far away from the university, Daniel decided to rent an apartment closer to the university which his dad agreed to. That's being one of the happiest thing his dad ever did for him

"Your dad wants to see you"Mrs Ogechukwu said and Daniel shot his mom a look raising one of his eyebrows. If his dad wanted to see him he could just call or text him there's no need for someone as busy as his mom to come to his apartment

"He could have just called"

"Yes Chisom but I wanted to talk to you first,I didn't want this to get to you by surprise"Mrs Ogechukwu said and Daniel frown immediately. He wondered what his mom wants to tell him

"What's it mom?"he asked

"Your father and Bianca's dad met and discussed about permanently merging their business"his mom started

"I thought they already merged"Daniel said

"Temporary"his mom said before silence reigned "he wants you and Bianca to get married as soon as possible then the right documents will be signed and everything will be alright"

"What?! Marriage?! What's that?!"Daniel said standing up

"Sit down Chisom and let's talk like civilized people"Mrs Ogechukwu said sternly

"Why bring Bianca with you"Daniel said finally sparing his girlfriend a glance

"Daniel! I'm part of this arrangement remember!"Bianca finally said something

"Yeah I know but at least my mom should have talked to me privately first"Daniel tried to reasoned

"I'm sorry son but we have to do this,there's nothing wrong in the both of you marrying now,it's bound to happen sooner or later"
