Eli Clark's Diary

XII / OO

. . .

There's one thing I forget a lot.

It was that the destiny I see is never guaranteed to be the one that will happen.

I realized that if I want the destiny I see to happen, if I want to make my future with [Y/N] to come true, I'll have to work for it.

. . .

Eli Clark held the wound on his side as he dragged his feet towards the Sacred Heart Hospital, looking for someone to heal him. As he got closer to the building, he saw two silhouettes through the hospital walls, which he was sure one of them was [Y/N]'s.

Eli stopped in his tracks as he heard the two people inside started talking.

"...Thanks."

Eli recognized the first voice as the Mercenary's, Naib Subedar.

"Are you ready to go back outside?" It was [Y/N] [L/N]'s voice this time.

"Yeah," Naib answered.

Eli saw Naib's silhouette started moving, turning to walk out of the hospital. But, [Y/N] stopped him before he could walk away.

"Wait!" [Y/N] pulled on Naib's wrist.

Eli noticed that the Hunter could see the Mercenary's current position. It'd be bad if the Feaster came and caught the three of them hiding there. Eli quickly walked into the hospital to warn the two Survivors inside.

"Hey." Eli peeked into the room [Y/N] and Naib were in. "The Hunter is coming."

[Y/N] clicked her tongue in annoyance as Naib cursed under his breath.

"...He only can see me. I'll go outside and lure him away," Naib said quietly.

But, [Y/N] refused to let him go.

"The next time you get thrown on a rocket chair, you're going to get flown away instantly, right?" [Y/N] said with a serious expression, "Leave the Hunter to me. I know I'm not too good at kiting. But, I won't be flown away instantly even if I get caught." She shrugged.

Naib shook his head. "I can't let you-!"

"I'll go kite him," Eli cut him off.

"...What?" Naib furrowed his eyebrows.

"I can still protect myself with my owl." Eli flashed them a smile. "I'll be going now."

Eli didn't give the two Survivors time to stop him as he quickly ran back outside, even though his wounds hadn't gotten healed yet.

Unfortunately, even with the Seer's sacrifice, the match didn't end well. The only one who managed to escape was [Y/N] [L/N], who was lucky enough to find the dungeon while being chased by the Feaster.

"It's because we took too long to decode, I think," the fourth member of the team, Vera Nair the Perfumer, spoke.

The Survivors who had just finished the game were getting their wounds treated in one of the empty rooms in the Oletus Manor. The atmosphere was heavy, as every each of them were disappointed by the match result.
