2021 is here! Happy New Year people! Wohoo I finally figured it out. Yes, I decided it's about time we set this up. Newsflash: Sorry but absolutely none of these are meet-cute at all.

Sakata Gintoki

'This was a terrible idea.' Y/n deeply thought of how to deal with all these scattered wallpapers and get it all started. Everything was in place but she needed assistance setting up the equipment. She was a baker by profession, her life crossed a milestone when she managed to save up enough to start a bakery of her own.

Waiting for a certain someone, she tapped her fingers on the glassy counter. 'Did I wrote the wrong address, or should I just wait. I knew I should've gone there in person. Well, it was a waste of effort to attach the payment in advance. Calm down please this is no time to be overthinking every life decision!' She gently massaged her temples.

Eying the request letter in his hands, he headed out on the road by himself. Gintoki's luck was not on his side. He was tired of looking around for a specific bakery. Route map gave him a hard time for sure. Certainly, he was tardy but better late than never. From the way the job request was written he was expecting it to be an eccentric old man, who else but filthy rich old geezers attach the payment in advance!

Possibilities of all he could do with that amount were endless! For sure that much would suffice for his daily sugar dosage and quite a lot of pachinko trips. It's all sorted out for him as he steered his scooter towards the right where it spelled out a familiar name.

'Hah, I knew it was better to head here by myself rather than getting those pesky brats involved.' Parking his vehicle at the side he confidently got to the entrance confirming the details.

Her entrance bells chimed ever so slightly revealing a fluffy-haired man who was slightly panting. "It's Yorozuya Gin-chan, I'm here for a request on behalf of the owner of this place." He stated in a flat voice.

Approaching him made her realize how well built he was, his face however looked very half dead. "Oh, that would be me. L/n Y/n, Pleasure to make your acquaintance." Politely she bowed down out of respect.

'I-it's a young woman! A really pretty one too! Dammit, I should've made effort to look good.'
He was absentmindedly charmed by her features. Slender built with glossy e/c with such perfect h/l hair. 'Man she won the whole genetic package itself!' Realizing he spaced out Gintoki furiously bowed down, he anxiously responded, "I'm Sakata Gintoki, nice to meet you too."

"Well now that we will be working together Sakata-san, let me show you around." Y/n guided him through the place as she took him to the storeroom. "I need help setting up these machines and the overall interior."

Nodding his head in thought, he proclaimed, "Understood I'll have you know you're working with an experienced person here so there will be no mishaps I can guarantee you that."

Y/n let out a sigh of relief, "Thank Goodness! There's so much to do." She switched on the lights. "So basically, the wallpapers are here, brushes and paint cans for the ceiling are above here, oh and the toolbox is right next to the ladder." She wiped her forehead.

'Wallpapers? Ceiling? Paint?' This was too much work for him! The silver-haired man practically saw his soul leave his body after realizing he'd have to work way harder than he ever did before.

She kindly requested with a menacing voice, "Also I won't be excusing you tomorrow, please show up on time."

Giving herself one last glance in the mirror,Y/n was ready to step out of her house. She felt comfortable in herself after a long duration of time. Feeling extra cute today she added her one-inch slingback heel to her mix. Giving herself some pep talk she was ready to start a new chapter of her life. Viewing the busy street ahead of her, she trotted towards the pavement. Recently she shifted back to the capital after a few years in the countryside.
