And yes i am aware i skipped an entire part of Haikyuu's plot if u can plz look past that.

Nishinoy pov

It's been a week ever since in broke up with Y/n and tomorrow is our practice matches against Nekoma... Me and Y/n hardly talk anymore and the last time we did i asked her if she could hand me a water bottle.

She's been avoiding me, understandable i guess... To think it's kinda like she's avoiding everyone except her brother...

That's weird

I took a sip of my water and stared at Y/n on the opposite side of the gym staring down at her homework, cmon... Notice me staring at you Y/n... Look up, look up... I'll talk with my eyes.

And my wishes came true she flipped her head up directly in my direction but for some reason i turned my gaze away from her looking at the interesting wall, what the hell was that you wanna get her attention and when you do you look away... Huh?

I guess i just got embarrassed or nervous like an idiot. Slowly i shift my eyes towards Y/n but kept my head to the wall, She's still looking at me!... Wait is that glaring! I pissed her off... Oh good now you've offically screwed up all chances. I turned back to the wall while screaming internally 😃 smiling through the pain.

"Nishinoya," Surprised i looked up and saw Y/n standing in front of me with a neutral expression, "Y/-yn... Yes?" This is embarrassing... "Coach asked me to get help from you with getting some boxes from one of the teachers... Not that it's to heavy there's just to many boxes," Y/n wasn't even looking at me when she talked her eyes were always everywhere except on me... 

I also noticed she's not calling me "Nishi" or "Noya" everyone calls me Noya that's basically my name... "Sure I'll help," I gave her a small smile and stood up, "Hah great let's go..." Sarcasm.

Walking to the classroom was awkward we didn't speak, we didn't look each others direction, this is so weird for us... I said i missed her because i really do more then anything and i wanna be normal with Y/n... But how do i even do that anymore.

"Y/n... I wanted to say... Um sorry about the last time we spoke..." Really? Finally speak to her and then bring up your breakup IDIOT. "Hm? The water bottle? I don't remember you having anything to apologize for that..." Good thing Y/n's dense so i can save my ass.

But something else bothered me with this... She still didn't look at me not even a single glance.. Why won't you look at me.

"Notice me senpai..." I just remembered the game i played where the girl was desperate and kinda crazy she wanted her senpai's attention, "Pft what,"  Y/n stifled a laugh while staring forward, "I feel embarrassed... Earlier when we were in gym i was staring holes into your head because i wanted you look up at me, to see me... When you did i got nervous and looked at that boring ass wall..." (If y'all don't get the reference istg^)

"I notice you all the time..." The look of instant regret filled her face once she said that and both our faces flushed as we stared awkwardly at each other, "S-sorry i didn't mean that imeanialwaysseeyou so y'know im always noticing you and plus your amazing s-skills in volleyball are very noticeable it's hard to miss! Becauseyouramazing," Her sentence was filled with rambling, saying words to fast, and stammering...

Y/n facepalmed and cleared her throat i couldn't help but laugh at her, "I know what you mean... Try not to hate me to much because of what im about to say but.."

She tilted her head at me, sighing deeply i looked to the side, "I still... Love you and earlier i wasn't referring to the water but to our break up... When i handle certain things I'll try my best to make this up if it's ok with you," Averting my eyes back to Y/n i noticed a glossy glare in her eyes, Your.. About to cry.

Y/n quickly turned forward once again and wiped her eyes while speedwalking to our destination, "Dammit..." I mumbled under my breathe as i watched her walk eventually following.
