"I'm surprised you came alone?" I laughed. Ludwig arrived at my house around twelve in the afternoon on a Saturday. He said he wanted to be the last one to go so of course I didn't mind that. In fact, I actually wanted him to be last. "Yeah, well I asked one of them to come but all of them turned me down. However, I doubt their excuses were really good." Ludwig laughed. "I'm sure... well, let's go to my room. My grandfather isn't home yet, but he will be later on tonight. That means we have the house to ourselves."

"We are alone?" He asked. I stopped to look at him and nodded slightly. "Don't worry; I won't bite," I joked. I was just as nervous as he was, especially after the other day, but I know I'll be fine once I start painting. He followed me to my room, and I quickly moved things around for space. "Sorry about the mess, I haven't had time to clean," I said. "How did the other portraits come out?" He asked.

I pulled him over to my art closet and opened the door. "Take a look at them" I said.  I turned the light on and pulled him inside to look. Once he stood in front of them, his mouth fell. "These are beautiful," he smiled sweetly. "Thank you... I really take art seriously. And this has been great practice, especially since my art competition is coming up in two weeks," I smiled.

We both walked out of the room, and I placed a new canvas on my stand. "Alright, so this is how it will work, I will sketch you first on my canvas, and that takes some time, so you need to stay still. Once that is done, you can take a little break. Then after that, I will explain what happens next..... oh yeah, I will put you in a pose and take some photos of you for reference later. So just relax and be yourself," I explained.

Ludwig nodded and took a seat on one of the high chairs that I had in my room. It was in front of my seat, so it was perfect. I bit my lip as I tried to think of a pose for him. It had to be fitting to him but also something I like.

I started to slide a small table toward him, and he looked at me, confused. "Is it alright if I touch you? To position your arm, of course!" I laughed out nervously. "Nope! Go for it!" He smiled. I came closer to him and softly touched his arm, placing it on the table. "Now lean your head on your palm," I explained. He nodded and did as I said, and I quickly fixed him a little. I softly touched his cheeks and turned his head to the side. "Now place your other arm on your lap, and kind of spread your legs a little," I continued.

"Just try and sit straight and keep your head still" I smiled. He nodded at me, and I slowly backed up to look at him. He looked perfect and very handsome. I quickly walked to get my camera, and I started to get into positions that would help me get some good pictures of him. "Sorry about this, but this helps me a lot," I smiled. "Don't worry, do whatever you must," he spoke.

Out of habit, I bit down on my lip to ensure I focused. His hair was doing a funny thing, so I stopped and walked over to him once more. "Don't mind me," I said. I lifted my hand on his head and softly fixed his hair a little. However, I could feel how my touch made him shiver. Maybe that was uncomfortable for him? So I quickly stopped to make sure he wasn't uncomfortable.

"Alrighty then, I'm going to play some music, so you don't get sleepy... but I guess you might a little. My grandfather recently found one of his old records with some famous Italian pieces. So I'm going to play it, but don't fall asleep...please.." I said, laughing nervously. I thought it would be a good idea to play it, so hopefully, he doesn't. "I won't, I promise."

I continued to take a few more pictures quickly and then rushed over to start my record player. "You ready?" I asked. "Yes.." he spoke. I sat on my chair and grabbed one of my sketch pencils. Biting my lip, I looked at him for a split second. He was so beautiful and handsome; I don't think my skills would ever be good enough to capture him.

I looked back and forth between him and the canvas, and I couldn't help but meet his eyes sometimes. It caused me to blush throughout the sketch, but I kept going. His beautiful blue eyes made my heart sink into happiness. How could someone be this beautiful? More importantly, why was I so excited to paint him most? Why did everything he did make me want to stare at him for days? Why do I want nothing more than to jump into his arms and let him protect me?

"Wow..." I whispered to myself. He continued to stay still for me, but I wanted him to feel what I felt. This effect he has on me is more than anything I could explain. It wasn't feelings of friendship, but way more. I swallowed imaginary saliva as I bit down on my lip. Lifting my eyebrows, I looked at his soft features and couldn't help but smile. He was a tough guy but also kind, smart, handsome, sweet, playful, and so much more. I want to see all sides of him so that maybe one day I could transfer those things onto canvas.
