"That was a lovely dinner." I said to Eli as we held hands on the way back to his truck. "I was not expecting my ex to show up, I'm sorry about that." I was nervous as I didn't want him jealous. We were just starting to get a little bit serious.

"It's quite alright. It's not every day that you get to fight someone with no consequences." Technically, there were consequences, he just found a way to avoid them. He opened the passenger door for me like a true gentleman. "I'm glad you enjoyed dinner. It was good, not a hundred and fifteen dollars good, but it was good." The total bill came to a hundred twenty five dollars, including the tip. The waitress did a great job. "When we get time, will you show me how to work this social media thing?" I laughed. I forget Eli can't even work a smartphone. The only reason he had a profile was because his brother talked him into it.

"I'm serious. The past few days here, I've learned a lot and I want to experience new things." He started the car and we took off. "I figure I'll give the whole social media thing a shot. That way I can look back on it and laugh. Look at all the good times I had, in case I want to go back to the church or something. I have a profile, just haven't posted anything."

"Sure. I'll show you tomorrow." That wasn't a bad idea. We both had the day off work. After driving a few minutes, we came across an empty lot that is never seen before. "Pull over there. I got a surprise." I was winging it. He pulled into the empty lot. It was completely dark, warm night. Stars filled the sky with not a cloud in sight. I felt like being spontaneous. As he parked I reached over and grabbed his thigh, slowly inching my hand towards his crotch. "For your brave actions tonight, you deserve a reward." I unzipped his pants and pulled them down. It was a repeat of the party.

"What are you.." I put my finger over his lips as I put my head on his lap. I figured he would have gotten the point by now. A light moan escaped his breath as I moved is hand to my head. "I could do this forever " he said in between moans. That gave me an idea. I put my phone up on the dashboard so the camera facing us and hit record. This was a first for both of us as I had never recorded myself before. My ex tried, but I shut him down real quick.

After we finished, we started heading home. "How was that?" I asked the question even though I already knew than answer. I just felt like surprising him. "When you get a phone, I'll send this to you. That could be the start of your collection of memories."

"Amazing. It makes me not want to go back to the church." He hadn't stopped smiling since. "You definitely don't get that in the church."

"Good." My job was done. A couple of days went by, we went to work and everything was normal. The all of a sudden, we got an unexpected visitor. I didn't talk to many people, so this was a genuine surprise.

I opened the door and was greeted by the last people i expected to see, Luke and Mary.

"Hello." I really couldn't think of anything to say after that. It's not every day Amish people come knocking at the door. You get carollers and solicitors, but not the Amish.

"Mom, dad? Why are you guys doing here?" Eli rushed over to meet his parents. They seemed disappointed that he was wearing jeans and a tee shirt as opposed to his traditional overalls. In Amish tradition, they wore overalls everywhere, work, church, even to to the dinner table.

"May we have a minute alone with our son?" Luke was very proper. His accent was very thick.

"I'll be in here." I went to my room. I wanted no part of the family drama. Like most women however, I had my ear to the door listening. I couldn't here a lot, but I did catch bits and pieces. I know the words sex, sin and disgrace were used. After about twenty minutes or so, I heard the front door shut and Eli heading back this way. I hopped up on the bed before he opened my bedroom door. "What happened?"

"Apparently they heard about us and are disappointed in me and everything else. They say I shouldn't have sex before marriage and all that." He sat next to me and put his head down. "I don't know why to do. Should I go back to the church or stay?" You could hear the softness in his voice.

"Well, it's whatever your heart tells you. I personally would like you to stay, but I can't force you." I was actually in love with him. I had a hard time coming out and saying it, but it was true. I really didn't want him to leave. I also knew that it wasn't my choice. The only thing I could do was give him a reason to stay.
