"It looks beautiful" I was standing in front of our newly finished house. The foundation was up, all the walls were built and the windows were put in. All we needed now was siding and that was it. They had just finished the roof before we got there.

"So can Becky and I paint the walls?" Emily came running up. "I have a few ideas." She said this without even consulting me first.

"Why not?" Eli was more than willing to let us at it. "It's our house together." All of a sudden, we heard a car horn behind us. Turning around it was the last person we expected to see. "Well, this is interesting."

"Howdy brother" said the loud obnoxious voice from the car. Been a while, hasn't it?" It was Eli's brother, Moses.

"What do you want?" Eli walked over somewhat angry, then calmed himself.

"To come hang out with my brother. See what he has accomplished in the modern world." Moses hopped out of the diesel truck he was driving and started heading towards us. This was not going to end well.

"Well, come on. Let's go check it out." Eli greeted him like normal. This wasn't supposed to go like this. I'm not sure why he was being that way. I held my tongue to see what was going to happen. After a minute, I noticed that he let Moses walk in front of him a little and he sneakily grabbed a hammer.

"Hey Emily, let's head this way." I led her towards the car.

"What are we doin..." before she could finish that sentence I grabbed her and planted a big kiss in her. Her eyes got wide as she grabbed my face and started getting into it. In the background, we heard a loud scream. I opened my eyes as she continued to make out with me, her back pressed against the passenger door of Eli's truck. After a minute of no screaming, I finally pulled myself off Emily. As I pulled away, she opened her eyes. "Well then. All you had to do was say something." I think she was in shock as much as I was.

Eli came out all by himself throwing the hammer on the ground. From what I could see, there was no blood on it. "Moses is taken care of." Eli smiled as he came towards us.

"Did you just.." I put my finger over her lips to shut her up this time.

"Nice show by the way." Eli had seen us and was secretly smiling.

"Pregnancy hormones." I was pleading my case like it mattered. Truth be told, it had nothing to do with the hormones. I just wanted to keep her distracted. For some odd reason, I actually enjoyed the kiss. I'm not really sure what I was feeling, but it was kind of a turn on. I decided to keep that a secret for now.

"So do we call an ambulance or what?" Emily lowered her voice dramatically as she asked.

"Surprisingly, there was no blood. All we need to do is make it look like an accident." Eli looked at the two of us.

"Just say something fell on him?" Emily was trying to help.

"Or just say he was passed out when we got here." Eli suggested as we were all huddled around the truck.

"I'm good with that." I piped up. It was better that than all of us getting in trouble.

"Alright I'll call." Eli pulled out his phone. After fifteen minutes, the police and ambulance arrived on the scene. I was so nervous I was shaking. I didn't want to lie to the police, but I didn't want Eli to get in trouble either. They talked to Eli first. Then they signaled Emily over. Before they showed up, we had all got our story straight and all agreed to tell them the same thing, that he was unconscious when we got there. They called me over last. After five minutes of questioning, they finally let me go. I rejoined Emily and Eli as the ambulance wheeled him out on a stretcher. As far as I seen, there was no bruises, scrapes or cuts.
