As lay in my bed, watching tv, I see I'm getting a call from Stiles. I answer it curiously, wondering why he's calling so late. "Hey, Sti-" "Alex! You're a life saver! Scott totally hung up on me! You need to come to the school right now! Right now! To the pool!" Stiles urges. Before I can say anything else, he hangs up. "Ah, shit" I mumble.

Danny was currently out which meant I didn't have a car I could borrow. I guess I'd just have to run there as fast as I can. I quickly rush out the door, about to start running when I notice a glint out of the corner of my eye. It was a bike. In their neighbor's yard. I could just borrow it and put it back before they notice. I quickly rush into the yard, picking it up and climbing on it, pedaling as fast as I can towards the school.

"It's been a while since I've biked" I mutter to myself with a huff as I speed down the road. How did Scott do it the first half of the year? I drop the bike in front of the school, sprinting in. I hear a screech, confusing me but I rush to the pool anyway. "Stiles!" I call out as soon as I run in. I take notice of Derek and Stiles in the pool. Sinking to the bottom near the edge.

I quickly rush towards them, pulling them out of the water. They both gasp, catching their breaths as I notice the creature Stiles, Allison and Scott had a run in with. It was like some giant lizard. It lunges at me, tackling me to the ground. I quickly shift, roaring at it. It uses it's tail to grab me, the scaly thing wrapping around my ankle before flinging me at the wall, right at a mirror.

I crash into it, the pieces shattering all over me. I quickly get back up, roaring at it. I grab one of the shards and it goes to attack again, only to stop itself, instead staring at the mirror shard I was holding up, tilting it's head. It leaps up onto the wall and then the roof, crashing out of the top window and leaving. I look back towards the other two confused, Scott also standing beside them, looking on in shock. "What the hell just happened?" I ask them.

Later, we're outside in the school parking lot, Scott having plugged in a drive from Gerard's keys into his computer because according to him, that was where Gerard had been holding the bestiary the whole time. That clever bastard. Stiles, Scott and I lean over the computer screen, noting that all of it was in a different language. "All of that for nothing? You've got to be kidding me" I groan out. "Is that even a language?" Stiles brings up.

"What else would it be, dumbass" I mutter under my breath. "How are we supposed to figure out what this thing is?" Scott sighs. "It's called the Kanima." We all look to see Derek walking towards us, Erica following right behind. "You knew the whole time." "No. Only when it was confused by its own reflection." "It doesn't know what it is" Scott realizes.

"Or who" Derek nods. "Well, what else do you know?" Stiles wonders in annoyance. "Just stories. Rumors." "But it's like us?" Scott asks curiously. "It's a shape-shifter, yes. But it's- it's not right. It's like a..." "An abomination." Stiles chimes in and Derek nods. The two move to leave but Scott stops them. "Derek." Derek turns back to look at him. "We need to work together on this. Maybe even tell the Argents" Scott suggests and I scowl. Is he crazy?

"You trust them?" Derek asks in anger. "Nobody trusts anyone. That's the problem. While we're here arguing about who's on what side, there's something scarier, stronger, and faster than any of us and it's killing people! And we still don't even know anything about it!" Scott exclaims.

"That doesn't matter, Scott. You shouldn't trust them. And that's coming from me. I'm an Argent and I don't even trust them! You know why? Because they're backstabbing, lying, killers. You trust them even for a second and they'll try and kill you. Take it from somebody who knows them. Don't trust them" I tell him seriously before storming off.

I get back to Danny's, dropping the bike back off at the neighbor's and start to head into the house. Danny's car was already in the driveway. Before I can make another move, I hear movement coming from my left and suddenly there's a stabbing pain in my stomach. I gasp in pain as a phone light turns on and I find Gerard stood in front of me. "Hello, granddaughter" Gerard greets.
