I woke up in a hospital bed. I looked over to the left and only saw a wall. To my right, and this surprised me, was a sleeping Kakashi. I smiled tiredly at his tired face. It was even cuter because he was asleep with my bed as a pillow. I rustled his hair and let mine fall on top of his. Cute or not, I wanted to wake him up so that I could leave, but that didn’t seem possible. I jumped out of bed quietly and started to get dressed. I was pulling on my shoes when I heard him ‘start’ to stir.

I was pulling my hair up in a ponytail when I spoke, “Aww, you think I wouldn’t notice that you were awake the whole time. Well sensei, you have got another thing coming then. Come on, I am ready for a mission,” I said with a bright smile while he eyed me. He didn’t have his headband on, which just made him look hotter in my opinion, especially with a scar on his left eye. Sadly though, he put his headband back on and we went to the front gates.

When we got there, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke were all waiting outside. “Hey guys.”

“Are you okay, Hitsuki?” Sakura asked, Naruto looking at me expectantly.

“I’m just fine. Just a….little?...headache?” I answered/questioned. I knew what it was, but there was no reason for them to worry. Sasuke just looked at me before nodding his head. Aww, he cared, or at least that was all the care I was going to get.

Kakashi gave me some gear as he got his own, “Okay, all set? Good, let’s go.”

“Sasuke, point A.”             

“Naruto, at point B”

“Sakura, I’m at point C.”

“Hitsuki here, I am at D”

“Understood, ready to apprehend target?” Kakashi asked.

We all replied in unison, “Ready.” Then we all jumped and grabbed it.

“Target acquired, although I don’t see why we need headsets to grab a cat that I could have just gotten to come to me. Isn’t that right?” I asked the kitty in a baby voice as I took him from Naruto’s arms. He blinked and then nodded at me. I would love to say that that was a first but it wasn’t. I handed Sakura the cat and ninja jumped away, hearing Kakashi’s voice in my ear piece.

“Hitsuki, where are you going?”

“I need to talk to the Hokage. I will see you all when you get there,” I said cutting off my headset when he sent me an okay. I jumped in through the window since I had no patience for doors.

“Lord Hokage, I need to speak with you.” He looked up from his desk for a second before nodding at me to continue. “Why can cats understand me and why can I, rarely, understand them?” I asked. He didn’t look surprised by my question.

“Remember how I said that you were considered the last known member of your clan’s Royal Bloodline? That’s because you are. Your family was special and only the ones who would actually rule your clan had hair colored like yours. It has to do with your connection to the fourth strongest summon that anyone could have.  But, only a Royal person who will, or has ruled, the throne of you clan can summon them. Tiger is in your clan’s name for a reason my dear, and most felines will bend to your command. You are of an ancient race who swears to protect the Tigresses that you summon and their secrets. It is in your blood that you have the power to summon them, but you need no contract to make it a possibility. Try it later, when you have time. Right now your team should be back with your report.” Our conversation was cut short when there was a knock on the door.
