As Halloween rolled around, Yuta's mum was nagging him near constantly visit her and if possible to "bring your cute little soulmate, because I want to meet my future son in law", ignoring the fact that she has met Mark on multiple previous occasions. While Yuta couldn't be more grateful that his mum was supportive and didn't care that he is gay, it was actually quite concerning how much she wanted him and Mark to start dating. Every phone call he got from her would be the same:

"Hi Mum"

"Hello sweetie,, , so,, , when are you coming to visit?"

"I don't know, maybe this Halloween? The managers said we could have a long weekend break, if I flew out on Saturday then I could stay the weekend with you guys and then be back on Monday,, ,?"

"Great! I'll book the tickets now!"

"nO! I said maybe!"

"Hm? Sorry? I wasn't listening,, , how old is Mark? I'm pretty sure he's seventeen, so he'll need an adult return ticket too,, , that's two adult tickets. What class do you want to fly?"

"Mum! When did I say I was going to bring Mark?"

"Technically, you just did and besides, I don't need your permission. I will repeat my question, what class do you want to fly?"

"..."

"Fine. Well you're trying to impress him, so not economy,, , but you wouldn't want to show off too much by flying first class. I'll book you both business class tickets, so you can show that you can provide for him"

"You're thinking into this too deeply,, , but what if he doesn't want to come?" Yuta whined.

"Awwwww, you sound so worried. Your father was exactly the same way, bless him. I'm sure he will, but you won't know for sure until you ask, correct?"

"I suppose"

"Go ask him now and then call me back immediately after"

Predictably, Mark had immediately agreed and so that was how they would up on a plane, in business class on Japan Airlines, heading towards Yuta's childhood home. While Yuta was in deep thought on how he was going to deflect his mother's attempts at playing matchmaker, the plane had started to take off. Mark had frozen in his seat and breathed more heavily. To comfort the poor boy, Yuta held his hand and squeezed. This helped calm down Mark's anxiety, and as soon as the plane levelled out, he calmed down. They were still holding hands though, Mark's hand was so small in comparison that it would be a crime to let go and the blush that was dusted across his cheeks was adorable; Yuta wanted to keep that blush there for as long as possible.

Upon arrival at the airport, the two boys found Yuta's mum waiting for them with a large sign that read "YUMARK" with pink hearts surrounding it. Mark was looking around, as he hadn't noticed the horrifically noticeable sign ten metres away from them so Yuta grabbed his hand again and began trying to walk past his embarrassing mother. Unfortunately, he had no such luck. She picked them out of the crowd easily, then she started waving at them - ruining Yuta's chances of pretending not to know her. Yuta wanted to turn around, walk back to the plane and throw himself into one of the engines.

Mark had seen the sign, how could he not? It was covered in glitter. He still waved back at Mrs Nakamoto, but not before pulling his hand away from Yuta's, and blushed very strongly.

"Welcome home, son!" She grinned.

"Thanks, it's good to be back-"

"I wasn't talking to you."

"Huh?"

"I was talking to our guest."

"Oh"

Mark spoke up:
