"You wanted to see me?" I asked.
"Come have a seat, Mr. Stickmin," Mrs. Amani said.
I took a seat that I've sat in more than my fair share of times before. I watched Mrs. Amani fold her hands and let out a sigh.
"What do you have me on this time?" I asked.
"Your father came in my office earlier to discuss what might happen if this reforment program, as Mr. Calvin puts it, doesn't work," she said.
"It hasn't even started, though," I said.
"Mr. Stickmin, I've had you in my office over the past 2 1/2 years for multiple offenses. That doesn't mean I don't believe in you, it's just.."
She stopped in her tracks.
"It's just what?" I asked.
She sighed, "Your father thought it would be in your best interest to-"
I cut her off, "My best interest?"
"Those were his words, yes. And please refrain from interupting me," she said.
I could feel the blood coursing through my veins as I did my best to control myself.
"If I'm being truly honest with you, I believe your father has your best interests at heart and he knows what's best," she said.
That's it.
"You don't know him," I said in my my controlled voice.
"Mr. Stickmin, he's dropped by my office several times, I'm pretty sure I know him," she said.
"You don't understand how he treats me," I said.
She just gave me a look of 'you sure about that?'
"You're on the outside looking in, you aren't on the inside like I am," I tried to explain.
"You need to realize that your father probably knows you better than anyone," she said.
I felt myself snap. I could feel myself dissacociating from reality. The last thing I remember was Ellie running in.
-
"Hey! Earth to Henry?" Ellie said.
My brain was to foggy to give a response.
"AYE!" Ellie yelled, before smacking me.
That got me to respond as I scrambled to get up and said, "What the fuck?"
"He lives!" Reginald yelled.
I looked around, almost all of my friends were surrounding me. Curtis, Sven, Ellie, Reginald, and Right.
I rubbed my head, "What the hell happened?"
"He doesn't remember?" Reg asked.
"The bitch brought up his-"
Ellie looked down at me, then looked back up at the others and mouthed something.
"What did I do?" I asked, again.
"I had to hold your violent ass back," she said.
"What?" I said.
"Yeah, you almost killed the damn conselour, which to be clear, I would not have been mad about," she said.
I muttered, "Damn it."
"'Damn it' what?" she asked.
"It's nothing," I sighed, placing my face in my palm.
Ellie sat down next to me, placing her hand on my shoulder.
"It's gonna be fine," she said, trying to cheer me up.
I leaned against a wall, "I'm getting the hell out of here once I turn 18."
"You and me both," Ellie sighed, rubbing my shoulder.
"What are you gonna do, become a stripper?" I jokingly asked.
"Fuck yeah!" She said, enthusiastically.
