Chapter 2

Chapter 2!!!!!!!!!

The next day, I left Kankuro at home, wile I went to school. I showed him where everything was, and told him if he really needed me, then the school was right around the corner from the apartment building. I walked into the principle's office, and talked to him about Kankuro. I mean, I didn't tell him that the guy was really crazy, or how I met him, but I didn't know how long he would be staying here, so I thought he should at least go to school.

*hours later*

School was finally over for the day, and I was off to the market. I knew I needed food, so before I left home, I brought the market money that my dad gave me. I picked out some greens and a pack of chicken wings, along with some other snacks.

The bags were heavy, but I didn't mind. It wasn't that far of a walk, in fact, it was the same way home from school. With my arms wrapped around the bags, I couldn't really see anything, just a face full of greens.

Something bumped into me, sending a few bags into the ground. "Why don't you watch where you're going!?" Ruby yelled, I rolled my eyes. Why did she have to be out here? "Oh, it's you." She sneered, "Sorry Ruby, I didn't see you there." Ruby blew a bubble in her gum, and loudly popped it. I huffed, it didn't take a genius to see taht she was full fo herself. "Well, thanks to you, I have food and junk on my clothes!" Her face turned red, "Stupid food!" She yelled, and kicked one of my bags. "Hey! I just bought that!"

"Well I just bought this!" She gestured to her clothes, "What's your problem?" I asked as I picked up the remains of my groceries. "You're my problem, loser."

"Excuse me, but what's going on here?" I looked up to see Kankuro standing right behind Ruby, but was heading towards me, and helped me with my bags.

Ruby ruffled her hair, "Hey cutie, what's your name?" She fluttered her eyes flirtatiously, but Kankuro only stared at her. "Um, do have something in your eye?" He asked, "Because you're blinking a lot." He obviously struck a nerve with her. Guys were always all over her, and Kankuro wasn't taking a hint.

Her cheeks went bright red, but she swayed her hips, walking up to him. "No silly!" she laughed playfully. wow, she was acting so stupid! "I'm Ruby, what's your name?"

He looked at me, as if asking, is she for real?I got up and grabbed his hand. "Come on Kankuro, I think it's time to go home." I pulled on his arm and started walking, but Ruby only followed us, either not getting the fact that we didn't want to talk to her, or just not caring. "So... Kankuro, that's your name? Pretty weird, but it's cute."

I rolled my eyes, I couldn't believe how she was acting. It was the most idiotic thing I have ever seen! "Go away, Ruby." I spat. She was really starting to annoy me now. Ruby walked in front of me and looked into my eyes. "Make me." Her voice was venomous, almost scary... Almost.

We stared each other sown, waiting for the other to crack. Kankuro yanked on my arm and started walking away. "Ok, I think it's time to go." He said hurrying to get back to the apartment. "Wait!" Ruby called after us, and ran in front of Kankuro, inches from his face. That made me mad. I'm not sure why, but I couldn't stand her being so close to him. "What do you say, you and I go out for a little fun?" She asked, trying to make herself look as sexy as posible, even though she only succeeded in making herself look like a dying moose. A very skinny moose that had a LOT of plastic surgury.

She waited for a reply. ".... Um.... No." I tried to hold in my laugher. She just got rejected! She stared at him, gaping. "W-what!?" She managed to get out of her mouth. "Did you just say... No!?"

"Um, yeah..."

Her face turned back to it's beet red color. She huffed and stuck her nose up in the air, before she promtly stomped away mumbling things like: "Didn't want to go out with you either." and "Stupid Maggie. So ugly, why does he like her?"
