the boy stared at his phone, his finger hovering over the message button. he wanted to, but he was scared. what if she thinks i'm weird? what if she doesn't want to talk to me? a million thoughts ran through his mind, scared of the outcome.

"just message her already."

he jumped. literally jumped in his seat.

"jay hyunggg. you scared me."

jay took a seat next to the boy, laughing at the boy's internal conflicts.

"just message her. once you do it. you'll realise, it really wasn't a big deal."

jungwon stared at the hyung who seemed to look mature and like an older brother for a moment then diverted his gaze back to the contact. then he pressed message

yang jungwon

hey noona

then he threw his phone next to him. he didn't want to be checking his phone every two seconds. jay just found the whole situation too funny and tried to hold his laughter, yet miserably failed. jungwon glared at the boy who was nearly in tears, before immediately pouncing on his phone when he heard a notification.

hey jungwon

his eyes lit up the moment he saw her reply. then jay stopped laughing, realising this was no longer a laughing matter. it was one to be celebrated. he started screaming for the others to come down.

"jungwon's got a girl !"

"shut up hyung"

"shut up jungwon."

the other members appeared one by one, all joining in with jay's screaming. they were just too hectic. to be honest, half of them didn't even know why they were screaming and jumping around. it just looked fun so they joined.

jungwon sighed and started to reply.

he smiled unconsciously. a million thoughts ran through his head. she literally lived next door. that meant there were so many more opportunities to see her.

no stop jungwon. you can't.

"guYs jungwon's girl livES NEXT DOOR!."

"let's go visit her."

"no what hyung no."

"shut up jungwon."

"we know you want to see her."

"fine. let me just brush my hair."

at the same time, the girl sat on her bed, processing everything that just happened. then she squealed. yang jungwon. the yang jungwon just messaged her. HE messaged her. she smiled widely at her phone. she couldn't help but read through the conversation again. there was nothing special, but it felt special.

then the doorbell rang.

confused, she went to open the door.

"hi jian!"

"where's jungwon? why's he taking so long?"

"guys, you're scaring her."

everyone shut up.

she was confused once again.

"why are you guys here?"

"to see you."

"wtf who said that?"

"that was weird holy."

"it was jungwon who else would it be"

"wait no it was sunghoon."

"wtf sunghoon hyung. you're weird."

"what why else would we be here then?"

"oh yeah."

"joking yeah."

"hey we just came to visit."

"we found out you were our neighbour!"

she smiled. then she saw the boy coming out of his house, sheepishly moving towards his members. without even realising, her smile became bigger. the members were confused as to why she looked so much more welcoming at this point, but then realised their second youngest kid had finally joined them.

"um, well. do you guys want to come in?"
