She smirked and gave a little giggle as she accessed Tony Stark's computer from her computer in the lab. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a side braid, and her greenish-brown eyes were focused on the screen in front of her. As she typed, she found Tony was indeed using his laptop, and Leigh figured she'd have a little fun.

As this was her favorite hobby, she had no difficulties hacking in and adjusting the settings so that her screen was his, and she could do what she pleased. "Hmm... Facebook..." She murmured, eyes twinkling with mischief. "Don't get yourself into a mess you can't get out of." Bruce warned, looking at her over his glasses from his work station. He was smiling despite the warning; he liked when she messed with Stark as much as he did.

"I'll be fine..." She said, concentrating. After a couple minutes of being invisible to Tony, and typing in commands, she pressed enter and simultaneously logged him out of Facebook, changed his password to 'Leigh_is_Fabulous', and caused all of his past Internet history to pass in a blur. While this was happening, she went and changed every other password she could find, and waited for Stark to come down with his panties in a twist.

Sure enough, the sound of footsteps and cursing thundered down the stairs. "Gee, who stuck the stick up your ass?" Bruce asked, smirking. Leigh quickly hid all of the windows and replaced them with a harmless computer game; solitaire to be precise. "You and I both know damn well who did it." He growled, standing in front of Leigh with his arms crossed, looking like a two-year-old. "What gives?! I thought we reached an agreement; none of your computer voodoo on me!"

Casually, the young woman looked up. "I don't have any idea what you're talking about, Stark." The sincerity in her face almost made the billionaire believe she didn't do it, but he knew better. He quickly moved around to her side of the desk, and pushed her out of her chair. She fell to the ground with a thump and the eccentric man searched her computer desperately for any trace of anything devious.

Nothing.

Picking herself up and dusting herself off, Leigh kept a straight face. "You won't find anything, because I. Didn't. Do. Anything." Her tone was matter-of-fact, and he growled as he stood up in his chair. "You win this round, Techy, but I'll catch you one of these days." He vowed, pointing a finger in her face before storming out of the lab. Once she'd checked that Stark was no longer in the vicinity, she started to laugh hysterically, a broad grin across her face as she sat down to undo the damage she'd done.

"He almost had you." Bruce pointed out, not looking up from his work. The hacker waved her hand dismissively. "He'll never catch me."

_______________

Leigh laughed as she watched Natasha and Clint go at each other in the training room. Both had sparred with each other for so long that it was impossible for either to win, yet they still continued to do so. She'd always envied those who were physically fit enough to anything they wished, and no matter how hard she tried, she never seemed to be able to be one of those people. She loved hacking, no doubt, but sometimes she wished for a less sedentary line of work. So, when Fury burst into the room and said that he had a field job for a few of the Avengers, Leigh included, her nerves were partly buried with excitement.

"Techy, Barton, Romanov, I need you all to come with me. I've got a job for you." All three moved towards him slowly, and followed him as he led them to the conference room in which he usually briefed them. Upon their arrival, they saw Bruce and Tony as well. Tony gave Leigh a little pouty look, and she stuck her tongue out at him in return with a smirk, before taking her seat. "We've got a group of resistance fighters planning to take over one of the leading businesses in Miami. They've dug themselves seamlessly into their places as workers for said company, and are going to hack into the systems through their own computers, set up on the roof. If they succeed, they can then successfully take aim at the US government. That's where you come in; Hawkeye, Widow, you two will be scoping out the area, target the weakest point, and then take out the guards with the assistance of Stark. Leigh, you'll be breaking into the building while the doors are unattended, and then head to the roof to hack into their computers and take them down. Banner will be monitoring your progress through the building's security cameras and be in contact with you through your earpiece if you need help." Everyone nodded, and Fury exited the room, his final words being "Don't screw up."

_______________

Everything had gone considerable well; they had successfully infiltrated the building, and were successfully keeping the guards away while Leigh climbed level after level and staircase after staircase to the roof. She hadn't hit any snags in the plan or bumps in the road, and Bruce was helping her navigate through the maze of cubicles through the earpiece. "Okay, now you're going to come to a fork; take the right and go all the way down to the final door in front of you. Open it, go up the stairs, and there's the roof." She nodded, knowing Bruce could see as well as hear her. "Got it."

Her blonde hair trailed behind her as she ran, flung open the door, and headed to the roof. Upon noticing the giant computer system, she made her way over. It was really big. "How did no one catch this earlier?!" She thought aloud. "That's what Fury was wondering." Bruce answered.

After checking around, she found that the only place she could work her 'magic' was the side that was closest to the edge of the roof; there was about two inches of space. Leigh took a huge gulp of air, fear rising in her stomach. "Bruce, I can't do it; I'll fall if I try to reach it." Her usually sweet, steady voice cracked and shook. "You'll be okay, you just have to stay calm. You're not called Techy for nothing."

"O-Okay. Okay." With a determined look in her hazel eyes she pulled her golden locks into a ponytail and slowly but surely started to inch her way to the open side.

Clinging to the machine for balance, she started to work the fastest she possibly could, whilst attempting not to fall to her death. The wind started to pick up, and she squeaked as she felt herself sway. "Are you alright?! Leigh!" Bruce shouted over the headset. "I'm-I'm fine. I can do this." With shaking hands she continued, and it was almost done.

And then the wind really picked up.

Her hair blew into her face and she struggled to stay upright and on the small ledge. "Bruce, I don't know how long I'll be able to stay up here!" She shouted, trying to be heard. A mumble came in response, probably a coherent sentence, but she couldn't hear anything but the rushing of the wind. She checked the screen again, and found it was almost done.

"97%, 98%, 99%, 100!" She exclaimed, and turned to crawl her way back to safety. She was almost there, when her foot slipped.

And Leigh fell.

_______________

Tony fought more and more of the henchmen that came his way, vaguely wondering why there were so many, but really his mind was elsewhere.

Specifically, on Leigh.

No matter how much the young woman annoyed him, and bothered him, she was gorgeous and captivated him in a way no one else ever had; this wasn't lust, this might just be love, and though it scared him, Iron Man embraced it.

So, when he heard a scream come from the sky, he was able to tell it was hers. Without thinking twice, he launched himself into the air, ignoring the calls of anger from his other two comrades. He had to reach her, had to save her.

_______________

Quickly falling, the young Avenger fell from the sky, limp due to the force of the air resistance. She could turn herself around to face the ground, and even if she could've, she wouldn't have wanted to; best not to know when your life was going to end. So instead she squeezed her eyes tightly shut and let go. Whether she screamed or was silent she didn't know.

But, suddenly, she felt herself stop falling. Surely I'm dead, right? She opened one eye, and saw the night sky, as well as a hot rod red and gold arm around her, keeping her in the air. She turned to face her savior, who just so happened to be Tony Stark. "Tony!" She gasped, relief flooding her, as she flung her arms around his neck, holding on tightly; in no way was she letting go until they touched the ground. His mask slid back to reveal his usually cocky face to be a scared kind of relieved. "It's alright. You're safe."

Leigh looked at him, contemplating her options. Arriving at the conclusion that she'd almost died and could do whatever the hell she wanted, she lean in and kissed the billionaire with everything she had.

And he kissed back.

When they pulled apart, Leigh rested her forehead on his as he slowly descended to the ground. "I never thought I'd ever say this, but I'm so glad you caught me."
