Ivy was in the air. Soaring. Laughter escaped from her numb lips as she felt the evening mist condense on her face. She grinned at Harry, gliding along besides her.
"So this is flying!"
"This is flying"
He grinned. Ivy watched as he leaned forward slightly gaining speed.
"Can you keep up?"
Harry flashed her a devilish grin and sped ahead. Ivy griped her frozen broom and lent forward. Feeling the currents of the air. She could see Harry grinning at her from up ahead. She was not going to let him beat her. Ivy lent forward some more. She was catching up! Harry was within arm's length.
Suddenly Harry dived. His broom levelling out before hitting the pitch ground. Ivy saw the commentator tower looming before her. Her eyes widened. She shrieked and closed her eyes. Directing the broom sharply to the right.
Harry was laughing below her. Ivy opened her eyes. She was a hairbreadth from smashing face first into the canvas wall of the tower.
Harry flew up to join her.
"If looks could kill..." he joked.
"I'm not talking to you."
"You don't need to be petty. It was a joke!"
Ivy shook her head firmly and mimed sealing her lips.
"It was a joke! I swear!"
Ivy gave him the best unimpressed look she could.
"Fine! I'll tell Neville you have a crush on him!"
"I do not!" Ivy gasped outraged.
"Ha! Got you!"
Harry's eyes gleamed behind his glasses. Ivy laughed.
"Okay fine maybe a little." Ivy admitted.
"A little! You guys spend most your time staring at each other! You have inside jokes and everything!"
Ivy laughed.
"What can I say, Neville is charming unlike some people I know!" She glared at him.
Harry held his hands up in surrender.
"Okay, okay fair enough." He grinned.
"Riddle and Longbottom sitting in a tree..." Harry spend off around the pitch.
Ivy laughed and began to chase him round and round.
"SHUT UP POTTER! DONT MAKE ME MENTION MALFOY!"

Half an hour later both Ivy and Harry were exhausted. They made their way to the dormitory, shivering and laughing. They narrowly escaped the Hogwarts caretaker Filch by using a mysterious map Harry had. Ivy could hear Filch yelling about tracking mud through the halls from several corridors away.

After a long hot shower Ivy felt relaxed and curled up to read by the dormitory window. It was not long before she was rudely interrupted by Hermione.
"You have to come now!"
"What? Where?"
Hermione pulled Ivy out of her nook at the window. Ivy tried to shrug of her grip but Hermione held fast.
"Hermione are you trying to take my arm off?"
"Come on!" Hermione urged pulling Ivy down the staircase. Ivy was very aware that she was in her borrowed set of pyjamas and tried to make sure she was decent scraping her elbow on the stone wall and almost tripping down the stairs. Ivy was for a moment glad of Hermione's iron tight grip.
"What is going on!"
"Just come on!"
Ivy chuckled nervously
"You're freaking me out now."
"Don't worry!' Hermione replied, "wait never mind!"
'What!?'
Ivy noticed the tears in Hermione's eyes. She was flustered scared. She moved stiffly like a puppet. Something was very wrong.

Hermione pulled Ivy into the common room. The entire Gryffindor house was gathered. Pushed into the corners. Fear on their faces. Friends clutching each other. They were all frozen unable to move. In the middle of the room stood a shimmering projection. A boy around her age. He had silky raven locks and cold calculating face. He looked like Ivy.

He saw Ivy and smiled. Ice spread down Ivy's spine.
"Hello daughter."
