I woke up this morning dreading what today would entail. Decorating the house, yup I got to move all my furniture myself. It may not sound like a lot, but I'm very clumsy and not very strong so it kind of ended in disaster. So after getting ready and taking my medication, the movers arrived to take away all the old furniture and bring the new. "Yeah I know. It would be a lot easier if I actually had friends to help me out," I thought to myself. I figured I would start with the easy part first, the down stairs. It was all going well until I may or may not have fell holding a chair. That chair may or may not have broken the window when I fell. I am fine, but I can't say the same for the big picture window in the living room. After that little accident, I decided I should probably call for some help. I know that the people across the street from me were a few boys about my age that lived together as room mates. I walked across the street, up to a house a bit bigger than mine, and knocked on the door. A tall boy with dark hair and blue eyes opened the door. (I have to admit he was very good looking.) "Can I help you?" he asked smiling at me. I smiled back and said " I just moved in down the street and I was wondering if you could help me move my furniture in." He agreed to help and yelled for his friends to come out side.  " This is Collin," he said point to a taller boy with longish blonde hair and blue eyes. "This is Ben," he said glancing over at a boy wearing skinny jeans and a t-shirt. " And I'm Jake," he said smiling at me again. "I'm Darcy Allen," I told him smiling back. We walked back to my house and the boys began to move my furniture around and talked to me as they did. "So, what brought you here, and why are you alone?"  Jake asked me. "That's a very long story and I will spare you the details for now," I told him. He told me that he would have to hear the story later and I agreed. A few minutes later Jake called for me and I went to the living room to see what he wanted. "So what happened to this window," he asked smirking at me. "Oh, that. Well ya see, I kinda fell and broke it That's why I needed help. I'm a bit clumsy," I explained blushing. He laughed and went back to work.  I told them that I would buy them pizza for helping me, and they agreed that it was a fair trade. When they finished moving it all we sat down to eat and I told them about everything that happened. My family the cancer, everything. When I finished my story they were all quiet for a bit. " Damn," Collin said breaking the silence. "If you ever need anything you let us know, you didn't have friends before, but  you do now," he said. "Yep, your stuck with us now," Ben chimed in. I gave them all my cell phone number before they went back home. I looked around my house and was please about how it all turned out. I finally have a home. I'm now laying in my bed, the item I was trying to accomplish today was decorating my home. Well I didn't really do it, but it got done so I count it as a win. Not to mention I made three friends. I made three friends in one day. That's more than I have ever had. I can say I'm pretty happy with the way this day turned out. 3 down 362 days to go. Goodnight.
