Chapter 1- Where Are You Going?

I'm Max and I live with my flock, Gazzy- 11, my sweet little Angel- 9, Nudge- 14, and Fang, Iggy and I are all 17. We are 98% human and 2% avian, or bird. Iggy is blind but is a great cook and acts like he is not blind at all. That is basically it...

Max's POV

{Dream}

"Max, I love you so much. Will you marry me?" Fang asked.

I stupidly blushed and twirled in the meadow with hazy flowers. Everything was so... Fluffy.

"Stupid... Of course! For ever and ever..."

I blinked lazily as the sun penetrated the curtains. I mentally wanted to punch myself for not closing them, but as I thought about Fang, I instantly smiled.

"Softy," I muttered, converting my facial expression into a scowl.

I mentally pictured him in my mind, with his dark messy hair and that sexy smirk.

I face palmed myself and decided that: a) I should spend a little less time with Nudge, and b) I should get ready. I rolled out of bed, brushed my bed head hair, brushed my teeth and pulled on some dark blue skinny jeans. As I left my room to wake everyone up, I pulled a sweatshirt with a bird on it over my tank top.

As I made my way through the halls, I stopped by Angel's room. I quietly opened the door and slipped right in. I found her face down, sprawled over the bed, with a teddy bear stuck under her arm. Her hair was as bad as Nudge's in the morning. It was a birds nest. Get it? No? Oookay...

I gently smoothed down her hair.

"Morning Max," Angel murmured.

"Good morning Angel."

She grunted and sat up. I kissed her on the head and left her to change. I went down the hall being less gentle with everybody else. and woke up everybody else. I had to go into Nudge's room 'cause she refused to get up. I ripped off her covers.

"If you don't get up Nudge, I personally will confiscate all of your Teen, Vogue..." I threatened.

"And Cosmo..." Nudge murmured.

"WHAT?!" I screamed in her ear.

"Shhh, talk later..."

I rolled my eyes.

I tickled her and she shrieked with laughter. I stopped and I swear she just fell back asleep.

Nudge rubbed her eyes and rolled out of bed. Literally. She let herself fall onto the floor. And for a couple of minutes, she just laid there on the floor. Then she heaved herself up. I woke Gazzy up by poking him, and Iggy was already up. I grinned and went downstairs.

We were currently living in a house near my mom's house. It was surrounded by forest which I loved. Our house was basically hidden from the out side world. Not really.

I sat on the couch and unfurled my wings. I shook them out. I folded them back down. I needed to stretch my wings out. My wings get pretty stiff in the mornings.
