Max POV

I stopped in my tracks. My flock wouldn't want me. All of the memories i had with the flock came flooding back. And that is when I saw her. Maya. My duplicate. It was true. They didn't want me. They replaced me already.

Fang POV

It was weird. Max didn't have turquoise eyes, or smooth skin. She didn't look like a model. I mean she did, but in a natural way. This Max was stunning, beautiful, and different. Max started to tear all of a sudden. I looked behind and Maya was there... This was bad. Very bad.

"It's not what it looks like! She's not a part of the flock!" I exclaimed.

"I told you not to make ANY MORE MISTAKES!" Max yelled.

She was no longer sad. She was angry.

"I swear Max."

"He's telling the truth." Maya said.

"Stay out of this." Max snarled.

"I came to kill you Max." Maya replied. She said it so calmly, it was freaky.

Maya POV

If I killed Max, she would seem weak. That would make me stronger. I hate her. A lot. But, I don't know why she is not with the flock... Oh wait. She got captured and sent to the School. Ha... Ha? She doesn't look like me anymore...

Max POV

"Try." I threatened.

The flock stepped aside and let Maya pass. She got into a stance. I didn't. Too many years of fighting back to back. I was stronger then I used to be. And a better fighter.

"What did they do to you?" Maya asked.

"Does it matter?!" I asked.

I was quite mad. Maya lunged at me and threw a punch at my stomach. I caught her fist and twisted her arm behind her. I shoved her into the wall.

"I should now how you fight!" Maya said in alarm.

"I changed. And you should know that."

I kneed her in the back and kicked her in the leg. I kicked her at a point in her leg that I learned from the School. She crumpled to the floor. I took my finger and pressed on a point in her neck where she would faint.

"Your lucky I'm letting you live."

I whispered that into her ear before she became unconscious. She dropped to the floor and I let go.

"What did you do Max?" Gazzy asked.

"I just made her faint." I sighed.

They did not want a weird girl messing up their lives.

"I-I'm sorry I every came back. You guys probably didn't even remember me. I messed up your normal lives. I'm sorry." I said quietly.

I shoved myself past them and onto the sidewalk.

"What did they do to you Max?" Nudge asked.

I didn't bother replying. I walked down the street. I started to run. I ran at 92 MPH and was gone in a flash. I ran to my home. The woods. I morphed into a wolf. My golden fur rustling in the wind. When I got to the heart of the forest, I was hungry. I didn't feel like hunting nor going into town. So I curled up into a ball at the base of a tree...
