Chapter 12- The Coffee Shop
(Max, Fang, and Iggy - 19, Gazzy - 13, and Angel - 11, Nudge - 16)
Fang POV
We have lived quite well. But we still miss Max a lot. It's been like two or three years I think. Iggy has regained his eye sight. He regained it a year after Max left. And, Angel still thinks that Max will come back. I had no idea what was in store for me today.
We settled in LA last year. Our favorite place to chill was the Coffee Shop. It was actually called the Coffee Shop. Yeah, cheesy name. Nudge had a job here actually. So she was taking her shift while we were hanging out. Angel was coloring. Gazzy making an origami bomb. I was just chilling, and Iggy was looking around.
Nudge walked out behind the coffee bar and walked to a booth across the room. Nudge halfway looked at the person and quickly walked to our table.
"There is a girl at the table." Nudge blurted out.
"So what?" Iggy snapped.
"She-she l-looks familiar." Nudge sputtered.
"Angel, read her mind." I said.
Angel looked up. Blinked, made a confused face then said,
"I can't get into her mind!"
The girl got up and quickly walked out the door. I made a motion and we all got up and followed her out the door. She walked down the street. She looked back and started to speed up. She, she was beautiful. She had turquoise eyes. Her dirty blonde hair was flowing out behind her.
We were quickly losing her so we sped up. Without looking back she took a sharp right. Obviously she was not from around here. She was walking into an alley. We were going to be able to corner her. We reached the alley...
