you had almost ignored his words, the dream still replaying in your mind, those two white figures standing before you, glowing through that thick cloud of white smoke. you shook your head from the thought, turning to see the cute boy, glancing at you from time to time, then back to the stack of pancakes on his plate as if he had been eating.

"i had a weird dream" you began. seungmin looked up from his plate once more at the sound of your voice. "i was in a forest, i saw these two figures in front of me, one a woman, one a man. there faces were blurred, their hands each reaching out for me to grab, one i tried to, they vanished and i awoke."

"well, that sure is odd, miss y/n" seungmin blinked a couple of times at you story, shoving a piece of pancake in his mouth. then again it was not the oddest thing you had told him. "but i am sure it did not mean anything. it was just a dream after all"

the boy had noticed you'd been quiet most of breakfast, barely touching your food, instead just prodding the syrup soaked pancake. he adjusted his glasses a final time, twisting his lips and eyebrows in thought. he did not know how long you would be with him, so he planned to make every second count. he stood up, placing both your plates in the sink once he realised you were not going to eat. he was not offended by it. he grabbed his car keys from the bench along with his coat.

"c'mon lazy bones. we gotta get you some new clothes. don't wanna be walking around in the same outfit now do you?" you valued his optimistic attitude, maybe it would clear your head, to get out without worry about the camera or the dream or travelling in general. you giggled cutely, making seungmin's heart swell. a small smile curling into his lips. following him to his car, he still expelled the same chivalry he displayed the first time you met. you were feeling a bit more talkative this car ride, maybe being in his company helped? it was nice having someone to talk to in this decade.

"you don't think i'm a burden do you?" you piped up as soon as he pulled into the stores parking lot. he turned of the engine, eyebrows knotted in a somber expression.

"of course not, doll. why would you think that?" he placed a gentle hand on your thigh, seemingly offended by your questioned, his words sounded hurt.

"i just feel that i am-"

"well you're not. i promise you that" he smile was gentle, word authentic as they rolled off of his tongue. you thanked him with a somber smile, getting out of the car as he led your around the stores.

he had found a store he'd think you'd like. dragging you inside like a child begging their parent for candy. he held up two dresses, both beautiful in their different designs. one was a sleeveless shift dress, much like the one you wore now, it was black with red and orange patterned flowers throughout. the other, full yellow, with a black collar, long sleeves with frilled wrists and patterned pockets.

"which one do you like better?"
