the moonlight glimmered against your pristine skin, through the leaves of the redwood outside his window, illuminating the small cut that scarred the column of your throat, he traced his thumb across it, the blood had coagulated by now, nothing more then a simple graze across your skin. he bent over slightly, pressing a delicate kiss to the cut, lingering the kiss for a few seconds longer than he normally would, he felt you squirm slightly beneath him, your sleeping frame, snuggling closer into the warmth of his chest.
"i love you so much, my little doll" he held you in his embrace the entire night, knowing that it will be your final night together, he was not going to deny you the right of wanting to go home. it was your choice after all. his eyes were glassy, throat hoarse for letting out quiet choked sobs throughout the night. the prospect of losing you again, not sure if you'd ever return to him, it haunted him, so much that he barely got any sleep that night, instead he decided to stay awake, savour the last few hours you had together.
he drove you to the park the next morning, slower than normal as the roads were quite empty, just so he could take his time. he clasped your hand in his, stroking his thumb across the back of your hand. the searing pain in his abdomen was not as nearly as painful the pain in his heart. your breath hitched in your throat upon your arrival, swallowing thickly as you followed seungmin out of the car, camera in his hand. you stood at the tree where you first travelled, your breath still shaking.
"guess this is goodbye..." he mumbled, hesitant in his actions when passing you the camera, avoiding eye contact as he did so. you took the camera from him, not saying a word, it would be easier to leave if you didn't say anything. you held the camera up to the tree, positioning it in the same spot you did before. you finger on the button ready to go...
a flash of white glimmered in the distance, getting closer and closer as you lowered the camera from you eyes. it encapsulated you as it did in your dream, the two figures stood before you once more, one still make the other female. this time you could see their faces. the first a beautiful woman, resembling your mother, the other a man, resembling seungmin. both of them extending a hand out for your to meet.
you stared at them in awe, just like your dream, their silent gestures beckoning for you to follow. your mother silently pleaded with tears in her eyes, her outstretched arms begging for her daughter's embrace. seungmin eyes were full of worry, pleading to hold his lover in his arms once more. stepping closer as their silent please became more frantic, taking a few seconds to glance at both of them.
"i'm sorry mum..." you whispered, turning you your right, following the glowing figure of seungmin threw the light. the colours came back you, finding yourself in the park once more, seungmin still standing there, tearing eyes and lost for words. once he saw the light engulf you he though you were gone. you sprinted towards him, enveloping him in the tightest hug, making sure to be careful of his wound.
"you came back..?" he mumbled through sobs into the crook of your neck, pulling away to plant a longing kiss to your lips.
"i'm never leaving you...not in this lifetime. not ever"
